Basically everything in nid is handled by the students itself you are free to start your own club or any kind that you desire. We have music dance sports yarn et club over here. And plus all of these are interactive sessions and in nid we majorly believe in peer learning that's why the clubs are oriented and carried on by students themselves

There is one college fest which happens every year in August called monsoon feista. College library call have various good books on design and various craft documentation on hand made crafts from india. Sports are played on campus.

Gender ratios mostly keep changing. Generally it has a 60% ratio of South Indian students, usually followed by Maharashtrians or Bengalis. There are extracurricular activities like basketball, cricket and football. There are leagues of the aforementioned organized too. There are talk sessions and a film club and a very rich Knowledge Management Center too.

The knowledge management centre at NID is absolute gold. Would totally recommend joining just so you get access to km. The facilities are good, work well for a comfortable day to day life. They could update some of their techs though.

There are good facilities provided in general. Labs are accessible even after the classes are over. Sports facilities like TT, Volleyball, Basketball, Badminton are available.
