This is a really open and inclusive place irrespective of your gender , sexuality, caste etc.
Considering the fact that most of the courses here have visiting faculty it makes you open to new people and let’s you know more perspectives and help you think differently
The overall staff is really good and helpful

Dislikes

The infrastructure is really old which dates back to 1961 and over the time it has just been renewed and not completely furnished or reconstructed
I guess they should change the curriculum since they have been following the same curriculum since the beginning and ig it’s high time that it gets updated
The water is not purified and sometimes we barely get cold water

Internships Opportunities:

Nid offers many internships. But since I'm in my second year I'm not aware about much information they have time ups with multiple fashion brands which are Tata originated and plus many government projects are handed to nid interns

Likes

The other students and how everyone is different from eachother.
The culture of nid is very rich and have a good alumni system
Everyone is very helpful and facilities is also very good and supportive

Dislikes

The weather of Ahmedabad and specially during summer it's very hard to sleep in hostel without ac's
Mess food is not very good too much oil and roti not properly cooked
Hostel are getting really old now should give them a proper renovation

Internships Opportunities:

In textile design there are a lot of companies for internship like fab India, max etc. Role give like surface designer for prints,weaving, apparel designer and many more. Stipend given on an average is 25-30 k per month

Placement Experience:

From the website too it is mentioned that you need to have 75% of attendance to be in the campus palcements. Companies like Myntra, Yahoo, Google, Samsung comes for placements and around 80% of students gets job form campus placements
