For the CS branch, here’s my order of preference-
IIIT Hyderabad>>> NIT Trichy/Warangal/Surathkal >>IIIT Allahabad>IIIT Bangalore>IIIT Delhi >> other NITs.
Apart from NIT Trichy, Warangal and Surathkal, IIIT Bangalore is better than all the other NITs for CS branch. IIIT Bangalore delivers excellent academics and top-notch placements in the CS/IT domain. Another thing is that IIIT Bangalore only focuses on CSE and ECE branches, unlike the NITs that deliver education in several engineering disciplines.
Here are the 2024 placement statistics for IIIT Bangalore (as of July 2024):

The coding culture of IIIT Bangalore includes friendly competition and collaborative learning. Coding competitions, hackathons, and collaborative projects are frequently organized by the authorities for the students.
Here are some clubs at IIIT Bangalore-
Unless you get admission at the top NITs (Trichy/Warangal/Surathkal), I would suggest you to choose IIIT Bangalore over the NITs, especially for a CSE degree.
IIIT Bangalore is a public-private co-owned college. It is supported by big corporations like Infosys on one hand, and the Karnataka Government on the other.
It is analogous to IIIT Hyderabad but less recognized in comparison. It has an exceptionally good coding culture and top-class faculty for both CSE and ECE courses.
Placement-wise, only the top 5 NITs are actually performing impressively. IIIT Bangalore M.Tech graduates are placed with good packages in top brands. iM.Techs of IIIT Bangalore secure good internships in top brands like OLA, HCL, Infosys, etc. Several of them are selected for GSoC.
IIIT Bangalore is far ahead of most NITs, except the top 3-4 of them. If you are interested in CSE/ ECE branches, this is the place for you.
