Which college is better for mass communication: Sharda University or Galgotia University?
Sharda University is a private university situated in Greater Noida, established in the year 2009. The college has been accredited with NAAC ‘B’ grade. It has 250+ global tie-ups with various institutions and organizations. The fees for a three-year mass communication course is 4.73 Lakhs.
Galgotias University is a private college situated in Greater Noida, established in the year 2011. The college was ranked 3rd among the top emerging B-schools in India by times. The college offers 3 courses in mass communication with its fees ranging from 1.74 Lakhs to 3.14 Lakhs for the full period of two/three years.

- Sharda University:The basic eligibility criteria for the course is scoring 50% in 10+2 examinations. Further students are selected on the basis of Sharda University Admission Test scores
- Galgotia University: The college has only one eligibility criteria for seeking admission to Mass Communication, i.e., securing 50% marks in class 12 examinations/ undergraduate degree.

- Sharda University: The course has a placement rate of 75%. Recruiters such as India TV, The Hindu, and Aaj Tak offer placements. The average package offer is 3LPA, with the highest package going up to 8LPA.
- Galgotia University: The course has a placement rate of approximately 75%. Companies such as Zee News and Network 18 come for placements. The placement package offered for mass communication students ranges between 2.5 LPA to 9 LPA.
Both colleges are equally footed as they are neck to neck in all three above departments. However, Galgotia offers a better return on investment, as it has lower fees. Admission to Galgotia is a less cumbersome process as admission is granted on the basis of marks only.
Why is Sharda University better than IITs and NITs?
My sister used to be a student of IIT Kharagpur and according to her, and some of my friends, it is very difficult to get into IITs and NITs. The aforementioned institutes cannot be compared to Sharda as they are miles ahead.
- To get admission to IITs and NITs, hopeful candidates have to crack one of the toughest exams in the country, the JEE Main and JEE Advanced respectively.
- This justifies why the NITs and IITs are so selective in choosing suitable candidates.
- Sharda is very easy to get into as it is a hub for students who are mediocre and have an idealistic view of college life.
- Sharda University may have a commendable infrastructure, but there is hardly any discipline in the university and no campus life.

My sister is an alumni of Amity University Biotech department and claims it to be one of the best departments of the They have a good research facility and trained faculty. The placements are worth it University. Moreover, Amity University has an extraordinary ambiance that grooms your personality as a whole.
Moreover, I haven't heard of Apeejay so that alone means it's not worth joining. However, if you are serious about pursuing MSc in Biotechnology, consider joining BHU, or AMU, and . these will offer a better ambiance, curriculum, and job opportunities.
How was your first day at Sharda University for a CSE B.Tech?
One of my friends has a brief about his experience on his first day at Sharda University for the department of CSE, B.Tech. Here is what he has to say,
- On his first visit to the class, the professors briefly introduced themselves to the students and asked him and his classmates to introduce themselves as well.
- They further went on to briefing about the course and the test formats. Moreover, they asked if there was any inconvenience regarding the same.
- On the whole, the professors at Sharda University were extremely sociable and easy-going.
- He was acquainted with several of the subjects, particularly Maths, Physics, and EEE.
- The only new subject to him was the C Language. But, one of the professors helped him to become familiar with the basics of it.
- He also simultaneously prepared for it with their generous amount of assistance. He afterward became one of the toppers.
He suggests not to hesitate when it comes down to questions you do not know the solution to. The professors generally help those who seek solutions. He attempted to usually ask for help from the professors when he needed it.
Which university is better, GLA University or Sharda University?
Both these universities are very good and have their own advantages, but among these two GLA University will be a better option, and here are some reasons as to why.
- The course curriculum is modern, technology-driven, and is based on industry standards. It also helps the students to enhance their skills and become professionals.
- The students are assigned various live projects where they have to work on building drones, mobile apps, solar-based systems, e-bikes, go-karts, etc.
- The faculty of this college are very talented and experienced. There are almost 50 guest lecturers visiting the college who also conduct various workshops for the students.

How is Sharda University, Noida for a B.Tech.?
One of my friends is a student at Sharda University and does not recommend it at all, in terms of B.Tech. He further says that the only positive aspects of the institute are its faculty and infrastructure.
The negatives, however, are crucial to know about:
- The students of Sharda University are not from the best environment. Most of them belong to affluent surroundings.
- Unfortunately, there is a huge internal politics that mostly surfaces in the university. The faculties are usually divided into several groups, and there are clashes at almost every imaginable moment.
- In addition to that, it has also obtained a very negative perception in the core academic world. Their brand has been widely recognized, but as my friend alleges, it does not live up to the expectations regarding the same. The value addition has surprisingly moved downhill over time.
The quality is not at all what was expected. You should mainly choose not to enroll at the university, especially if you have an unfavorable location constraint. If although you still face any, you might choose between Galgotia and Shiv Nadar since they are comparably better.
Should I do my BTech in CSE from Sharda University?
Sharda University offers two programs within the CSE department. Apart from the general BTech in CSE, it also offers a four-year full-time course in Computer Science with a specialization in Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning. It has been ranked at 65 by India Today in 2019.
