Both the colleges are equally good, The institution is not a concern your career depends mainly on the subject you choose for your future. CSE and ECE are completely different from each other. The work you will do might vary. So, choose a subject you want to build your career in and then proceed accordingly.
If you are getting a chance at DTU, you should take it. Decent ECE companies do not usually visit the MAIT campus for placements. Therefore getting placed can be difficult.
Biotechnology is an emerging stream and is essential for our future in new energy, innovative tech, and creative know-how. It has a good scope and you should go for it.
Choose Biotechnology at DTU especially if-
DTU offers pretty good placement opportunities for all branches, right after graduation.
The college life, infrastructure, peer groups, and crowd at DTU are all better than MAIT.
The DTU brand holds prestige and you will benefit from it in your career.
Thus, you should go for Biotechnology at DTU. Go for ECE at MAIT only if you are very passionate about this stream.
Although many might not agree, I think ECE is much better than electrical engineering. People tend to choose IID mainly because of the brand name that comes attached to it. If the tag was to be negated, then by all terms IIT Roorkee is better than IIT Delhi’s Electrical Engineering.
Moreover, I feel Electrical has too much workload both in IIT Delhi as well as Roorkee. This does not save you time for extracurricular activities.
Delhi is one of the most polluted cities in India and does affect the overall educational experience of the students. Although my personal suggestion is to opt for IIT Roorkee ECE, it’s better to talk to students from both institutes and branches.
Only a few core ECE companies visit NIT Kurukshetra such as Freescale, Ericsson, Reliance, Idea, etc. One needs to be among the top 20-30 and have a strong grasp of the concepts of ECE to get placed in these companies. You will face intense competition while appearing for these companies so be prepared.
The salary range varies from company to company. Freescale offers around INR 10 LPA while most of them offer around 5–6 LPA.
I will suggest you consider your own interests first rather than the placement scenario. For this, you can go through the course structure of both branches. If you still are unable to determine the right choice for yourself, go through the following pros and cons of both institutes
IIIT Delhi

BITS Pilani

Ultimately, choose what signs with your preferences.
ECE is one of the fastest-growing engineering courses and deals in sales, manufacture and services of customer appliances and products.
PSIT Kanpur has a diverse and dynamic community of students with accomplished faculties. The ECE department is the right choice having more placement opportunities in top MNCs. PSIT Kanpur ranks 119 among the engineering colleges and maintains above 90% placements every year.

Faculty
PSIT Kanpur consists of large and diverse faculty members of highly experienced and qualified. They constantly do research in their respective domains.
Facilities:
PSIT Kanpur is a well-reputed institute for ECE, IT, CSE, ME and other departments. The placements of IT, CSE, ECE are the highest in comparison with other branches. The facilities and infrastructure are also best in the ECE department. Hence pursuing ECE from PSIT Kanpur is a better choice.
This answer can be answered in 2 aspects; branch wise and Institute wise.
Branch-wise, ECE is way ahead of Manufacturing Science and Engineering and has a wider scope after graduation. ECE students are hired by both electronics and software companies. Moreover, ECE is a major stream whereas Manufacturing is just a sub-stream under Mechanical Engineering.
Specifically talking about colleges only, I would suggest you choose IIT KGP which has a stronger brand name and legacy than BITS Pilani Hyderabad. Its reputation is not just limited to India and has great scope outside India as well. It gets better and more companies than BITS during campus placements.
One major point of difference is the location of both institutes. Hyderabad has a much superior location than IIT Kharagpur thus offering better college life and exposure. IIT KGP is remotely located and lacks the necessary industry touch and exposure.
You have to travel long distances just to eat or do shopping. You will miss out on city life and the opportunities it has to offer. While the campus is great, you have to stay inside as the world outside is desolate. Spending 4 years without much exposure might limit your opportunities.
Hyderabad on the other hand has everything city life has to offer apart from being a major IT hub. This makes it possible to apply for campus jobs as well which is not possible in the case of IIT KGP.
In the end, it’s you who has to make a decision. Go where your heart is inclined the most be it ECE or Manufacturing at IIT or BITS. Just make sure to make a decision that will not make you regret it later.
Both universities offer well-structured and detailed program modules within the ECE branch. Jadavpur University has been ranked at 17 for Engineering by NIRF while IIEST Shibpur is ranked at 21 by NIRF in 2019.

Jadavpur University- For admissions at Jadavpur University for the ECE program, the WBJEE general cut-off by rank was at 144 in 2019. The eligibility criteria for admission is 10+2 in the science stream.
Tuition Fee: The tuition fee for the ECE program at Jadavpur University is comparatively more affordable as opposed to IIEST Shibpur.
The BTech in ECE costs INR 9,600 at Jadavpur University
Whereas the total tuition fee at IIEST Shibpur is 5.36 lakhs.
Placements:
Jadavpur University- In terms of recruitments, Jadavpur University records the second-highest placement rate and highest CTC for the ECE branch. The department has a 94% placement rate with an average CTC of 9 LPA.
IIEST Shibpur- IIEST Shibpur witnessed a 67.8% placement rate for ECE in 2019 while offering an average median salary of 6 LPA.
Facilities: IIEST Shibpur has a comparatively better infrastructure with updated technology and classrooms but offers a more research-based approach in terms of teaching. Jadavpur University allows students to experience their curriculum through practical and hands-on teaching with a modern and updated approach.
Students can go through the given points above to get a good idea of which university’s programs are more appropriate as per their requirements.
Both colleges have their pros and cons. KIIT is a private college with a beautiful infrastructure whereas, IIEST is the oldest government college for engineering in India with average infrastructure. KIIT has a NIRF ranking of 24 while IIEST stands at the position of 21 among Engineering colleges.
Admissions:
KIIT:
Students are admitted on the basis ofKIITEE and thosewith 300-350 marks under 4000 rank secure a seat. To be eligible, a student must have 60% in the board exams. However, if a student does not get CSE for their admission, they can choose another branch and score more than 8.5 CGPA to transfer into CSE after the first year.
IIEST Shibpur:

IIEST SHIBPUR:
The comparison lies that IIEST Shibpur has a good value for money than KIIT. Although not many companies approach IIEST Shibpur in comparison to KIIT there stands a higher chance to get away with the highest package on skills and knowledge. Also, getting in is not as easy as JEE mains scoreshould be very high. But overall, IIEST Shibpur stands in a good place.
