You can track your financial aid application at the LPU official website. You need to first check the eligibility criteria to apply for financial aid. There are two categories under which LPU provides financial aid to students, the economically weaker section and the special children category. You will also need to provide some documents during the application for financial aid. Some of them include an annual income certificate, an affidavit signed by the concerned authority, academic documents and an economically weaker section certificate. You will also need to decide which category you fall under. If you fall in the special child category. then the reimbursement is quite different from that of the economically weaker section category. I would recommend you to keep track of the website for further details. Also, remember to apply for financial aid before the deadline as mentioned on the website.
The last date for applying for financial aid at LPU for taking admission in the session 2024-2025 is 31st May 2024. I will suggest you do not wait for the last date and apply as soon as possible. Also, go through the website properly to understand the various categories under which financial aid is provided. As far as I know, there are two categories, the economically weaker section category and the special child category (Transgender, Single Girl Child, Students from Minorities, Single Mother Child, and Non-Traditional Student). Also, go through the details of which documents to produce as it is very crucial. I will suggest you talk to seniors who have availed of the financial aid scheme as it will give a better idea.
It depends on which category you are applying for. There are two categories for which financial aid is provided, the economically weaker section category and the special child category (Transgender, Single Girl Child, Students from Minorities, Single mother-child, and Non-Traditional Student). For the economically weaker section category, you need to produce a set of documents. You need to provide the annual family income of all the members of the family, an affidavit duly signed by the Collector the Executive Magistrate or the Sub-Divisional Magistrate or the District Magistrate. If the annual family income of the candidate is below INR 5lankhs, then the candidate is considered a part of the economically weaker section. You will also need to provide Form-1, Economically Weaker Section Certificate, Income Certificate and other relevant education documents. Similarly, there are requirements for the special child category. You can go through the official LPU website and get the details.
LPU has some financial aid options available for all students no matter the department.
