My brother recently graduated from IET Lucknow. According to him, there are many famous alumni of IET.
One of the most prominent alumni of IET Lucknow is Srijan Pal Singh. He is from Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh, and pursued Electrical Engineering from IET Lucknow, and from IIM he finished his management degree. Currently, he is one of the famous public speakers, an entrepreneur, and an Indian author. Furthermore, he had worked with our former president late A.P.J Abdul Kalam. He used to handle Kalam’s social media.
- Besides this, Srijan has worked with Boston Consulting Group as a management consultant. He made his contribution in improving the government and transparency in the Public Distribution System, it was about the Naxal affected areas in Orissa. Thus, he worked with the World Food Program.

My sister was a student in the Mathematics department at IIT Kanpur and her favorite professor was Professor Amit Mitra. He had many unique styles that made him the apple of everyone’s eye.
- He would drop emails to students personally at the end of semesters commending them for their performance
- He would always regrade his papers to minimize any issues
- Once, a mid-semester paper was more difficult than usual. He conducted research on the students who performed poorly despite being regular and asked for their feedback on how to conduct classes in the future. He also discussed the mistakes these students made and the possible solutions.
