My brother is from Amity University, so I know about the scholarship schemes provided by the university.

Amity University encourages academic behavior as well as extracurricular activities. Amity Gwalior has set up several scholarship schemes to encourage the students to score higher. They are as follows.

• For 100% Scholarship: You must have scored 93 Percentile (CAT/MAT) and 700 or higher in GMAT.
• For 50% Scholarship: Require 88 percentile (CAT/MAT) and 650 Or higher in GMAT
• Eligibility for a 25% scholarship: 80 percentile (CAT/MAT) or a GMAT score of 500 or higher.

Scholarship for Programs after Graduation (Non-MBA):

• For 100% Scholarship Eligibility: 93 percent aggregate or higher in Class XII and 80 percent in Graduation.
• For 50% Scholarship Eligibility: 88 percent aggregate and above.

Scholarships for Programs after 12th: 

• 100% Scholarship Eligibility - 93 percent aggregate or higher in Boards of Class XII.

Yes, there are various scholarships available for OBC students studying at NIT Calicut. There is one scholarship called MOMA, it is a Merit cum scholarship. It is of national level Central government funded scholarships. State government funded scholarships are also available. 

All OBC students are eligible to apply for this scholarship. The notification for this scholarship will be displayed in the academic building. The student can ask the dates for the form from the seniors.

For all the information, one can visit the district welfare department website and get the required information. One can also talk to a fellow senior student and know all the requirements and information of the scholarship.

In the NICMAR admission process, maximum weightage is carried by NCAT Exam (150 Marks). It has three sections which are as follows:

Preparation Time: 3 Months 

• Quant: R.S Aggarwal or equivalent aptitude books will be best for this section. Some questions are really easy that can be solved in less than a minute. If you want to maximize your score, practice moderate-level questions of other MBA entrance exams. Be thorough with percentages, allegations and mixtures, ratios, time speed, and distance, and like topics as questions are asked from these topics. 
• Data Interpretations: There are multiple books available for Bank PO Exams in which such sets are available. You can just go through them. It is sort of a puzzle so you will have fun doing it.
• Verbal and GK: Reading Comprehension is very easy. Just practice a few comprehension available in any competitive exam book. This section also tests your vocabulary as synonyms and antonyms questions will be based on your vocabulary. GK questions are really easy and you’d have read them somewhere even if you are not a news freak. To sum up, if you read the newspaper daily and practice a few comprehensions, synonym antonym, grammar questions, you are more than ready for this section.

In NCAT, speed matters the most. You should solve the easy questions first. Do not waste your time if you are finding any questions tough. Just move on. Most importantly, you should improve your grade in UG. Participate in competitions and earn certification. Nothing much can be done as what you have done earlier matters here.

During the personal interview, brush up on your basics of civil engineering (concrete and building material especially). The basic HR questions will be asked like why do you want to join NICMAR, what are your long-term goals etc. They also test your speaking skills by giving you a topic to speak on. So, you can also practice it as it will be good for you in the longer run. 

ABES Engineering College, Ghaziabad was ranked 201 by NIRF in the year 2019. ABES college Ghaziabad is AICTE and UGC approved. The college is ranked B grade by NAAC.

BTech Scholarships:

For B Tech 1st year students, scholarships provided by the college are as follows.

• Candidates with PCM and have received 96%-100% marks in Class 12th will get a 50% scholarship on tuition fees.

• 86%-90% marks in Class 12th will get a 25% scholarship on tuition fees.

MTech Scholarship:

The institute provides financial assistance of INR 7,000/- per month in the first year and INR 8,000/- in the second year to the MTech students. In each year the financial assistance is applicable for 8 months.

MCA Scholarship:

The institute offers several scholarships to MCA Students.

• Students having 75% marks in 10th, 12th, and graduation together along with a General rank of less than 100 in UPSEE are given 100% concession in tuition fees.

• Students having 75% marks in 10th, 12th and graduation together are given 50% concession on tuition fees.

• Students having 70% marks or more in 10th, 12th, and Graduation together or 75% in Graduation are given a scholarship of 25,000/-.

• Students having 65% marks or more in 10th, 12th, and Graduation together or 70% in Graduation are given a scholarship of 20,000/-.

• Students having 60% marks or more in 10th, 12th, and Graduation together or 65% in Graduation are given a scholarship of 10,000/-.

Therefore, a candidate should apply for a scholarship if they come under the marking category mentioned above. There are also scholarships for students who have secured excellent marks in the ABES entrance exams (UPSEE).

My brother has studied here and as per him, fee waiver scholarships are actually not a part of IIIT Guwahati. My brother has not encountered anyone in requirement of a scholarship program held by IIIT Guwahati. 

At the same, contrary to any scholarship programs, there are several students in the institute who have availed themselves of education loans for further studies. They are managing circumstances at their personal levels, and none of their financial weights are provided or funded by the institution itself.

In a nutshell, IIIT Guwahati does not receive any known funds from the government for meeting recurring expenditure (or in particular, any running expenses). 

Yes, students can avail themselves of the scholarships. The college provides some amount to the toppers of each branch based on their ranks(CGPA) under the scholarship from GAABESU(Global Alumni Association of Bengal Engineering and Science University) office. Merit-Based Scholarship is given to departmental toppers for subsequent years too.

Not only for the toppers, but scholarships based on the financial status is also provided by the college to help such student. Also, Book-grants are available which helps you get books for every semester. You can avail of these scholarships from the GAABESU office on the campus.

If you are needy or meritorious, you will get a scholarship. So work hard and try to get good marks.
