What is the minimum percentile for a Delhi NCR resident, general student to get into DTU? Is the state quota that much helpful??

T
TheSilentShade Posted On : March 28th, 2026

If you’re aiming for DTU in 2026 and you’re a general student from Delhi NCR, you should look at a minimum percentile of around 95 to be on the safer side. The state quota can be pretty helpful; I know a few people who got in with percentiles in the low 90s just because they utilized the quota. It’s definitely worth checking out how it works if you’re considering DTU for your studies!

Is it worth doing a B.Tech Mathematics and Computing from DTU or not? What are its placement records and whats your experience with this college so far?

S
SpectralStalker Posted On : March 28th, 2026

Honestly, choosing B.Tech Mathematics and Computing at DTU has been a solid decision for me. The course is demanding but prepares you well for a career in tech. The faculty is supportive, and the updated curriculum aligns well with industry requirements. Internship opportunities are fantastic, with many companies visiting our campus. The average stipend for interns is around 30k, and I know someone who landed an Adobe internship worth 1 lakh! When it comes to placements, the scenario is bright especially for tech branches; last year, the highest package was 1.25 crore. Overall, I’m having a great time here, both academically and socially!

How is B.Tech Software Engineering branch at DTU? What about its placement in 2025/26??

M
MythicalMercenary Posted On : March 27th, 2026

I’m currently in the B.Tech Software Engineering branch at DTU, and I can say the curriculum is quite good. We have two semesters each year, and there’s a clear focus on keeping up with industry needs, especially with the new NEP guidelines. If you maintain a CGPA of 7.5 or above, you’ll have a shot at great internships starting from the third year. From what I've seen, those with a GPA above 9 get the best opportunities. The placement scene looks promising for 2025/26, but it really depends on your skills and projects. If you’re into coding and development, you’ll find good placements, but be ready to hustle!

For B.Tech in Automotive Engineering at DTU, the fees are structured to increase annually. I started with around 2.36 lakhs in my first year, and it’ll rise to approximately 2.86 lakhs by the fourth year. It’s a government college, making it a good option for students like me who are conscious about budget. Scholarships are offered, but you need to meet certain income criteria to qualify.

Both are good colleges. The curriculum of IIIT Delhi is among the most updated and one of the best in CSE. IIIT Delhi is more rigorous in studies and offers a lot of research possibilities. Both choices are great.

LunarLustre Posted On : March 27th, 2026

Pursuing B.Tech in Computer Engineering at DTU has been an enriching experience so far. I chose this course as I believe it has a lot of scope. While the faculty is just average, I’ve found that if you prepare using previous year papers, you can do well in exams. The campus life is vibrant with events like Engifest and Invictus, adding a fun twist to the academic routine. Regarding placements in 2025/26, I’m optimistic since many leading companies come to our campus. The average package is 15 LPA, and the placement rate is around 98% in our branch. I think that’s a great sign for future graduates.

What is the total cost for B.Tech Chemical Engineering in DTU??

A
AstralPuppet Posted On : March 27th, 2026

Bro, suno yeh!

  • Agar aapki family income 4 lakh se kam hai, toh aapko fee concession mil sakta hai, lekin yeh end mein milega.
  • Jab aap DTU mein admission lete ho, toh counselling ke dauran aapko acceptance fee 95,000 pay karni hoti hai.
  • College shuru hone par notice aata hai ki aapko 1,42,000 fees pay karni hai. Aap 2-3 din tak extend kar sakte ho application se, lekin yeh sirf 30 din ke liye hota hai.
  • Aapko fees pay karni hai chahe aapki caste kya ho. Phir aap scholarship ke liye apply kar sakte ho, agar mil gaya toh thoda relief ho sakta hai, lekin scholarship par poora depend mat karo kyunki yeh full amount nahi de sakta.
  • Admission le lo aur loan ke liye apply karo orientation ya college shuru hone se pehle, yeh aapke liye beneficial hoga.

Main bhi DTU ka CSE student hoon (saari information 2024 ke fees ke according hai, agle saal naye students ke liye fees badh sakti hai).

Thanks kar diyo bhai! Aur kuch puchna ho toh welcome!

What is the fees structure of DTU for BE/B.Tech??

B
BaronBeagle Posted On : March 26th, 2026

If you're looking at the fees for B.Tech at Delhi Technological University, it’s ?2,29,000 for the year 2023-24. I chose Chemical Engineering, and while the fee is significant, the return on investment is pretty high, especially with placements starting from the 7th semester. Scholarships are available as well, which can help lighten the load. All in all, DTU's fees seem justified given its reputation and the opportunities it offers.

Which one should I opt for DTU B.Tech Environmental Engineering or Jadavpur University BE Computer Science and Engineering

T
TheSilentSpectre Posted On : March 26th, 2026

DTU's B.Tech in Environmental Engineering offers decent placement opportunities with over 300 companies visiting and high packages, especially for tech roles, while the curriculum could use an update. On the other hand, Jadavpur University's BE in Computer Science and Engineering tends to have a more robust curriculum aligned with industry needs, which can lead to better job prospects. However, internships seem to be more limited at DTU due to current market conditions. If you're leaning towards tech and want better placement options in that sector, DTU might be the better choice, but if you’re more interested in a strong academic foundation that aligns with industry requirements, Jadavpur University could be the way to go.
