Choosing among the two given institutes depends upon what you want to pursue in the future. The points below give a brief overview of the advantages of both the choices, based on which you can make a decision.
These are some of the most important things to consider that will help you make a choice among the institutes.
At MNNIT Allahabad, changing of course after the first year will only depend upon the CPI of your first year. A form is available on the college’s website regarding the change of course. You can apply only after your first year. You can fill the application form as per your choice.
The CPI score is associated with each branch. If your score is good in 1st year then you will get the preferred choice. You should score at least 7.5 CPI in the first year. You should not be having backlogs in the first year. But this whole process takes time.
If you have the required CPI you will get your preferred branch according to the availability of seats.
The best choice will be to pursue a five-year IPG from IIITM Gwalior. The reasons are below.
The placement details of the 2019-20 session for both institutes are below.
| Criteria | IIITM Gwalior | BIT Mesra |
| Average Package | INR 14.58 LPA | INR 11.76 LPA |
| Highest Package | INR 42 LPA | INR 49.76 LPA |
| Tuition Fee | INR 6.7 Lakhs | INR 12.32 Lakhs |
Overall, the return on investment (ROI) from IPG IIITM is excellent, and the course saves the traditional way of bachelor and master degree time.
You will have a plethora of combinations to choose from. Let me tell you about some of your options:
So you can pick and choose between a lot of options and see what meets your interest and choose a career path accordingly.
If you are 25-26 years of age, I would suggest you go for one more attempt along with your job. If you even get into TAPMI with this much experience there are high chances that you will not get a good placement.
Having this much work experience, you can go for MBA from BLACKI (Banglore, Lucknow, Ahmedabad, Calcutta, Kozhikode, Indore), XLRI Jamshedpur, FMS, and other premium institutes.
These institutes can easily offer a package of more than 25 lacs and even a good strategy and consulting profile and plus you can get a tag for a lifetime which will help you to accelerate your career.

If you already have a master's degree and want to get into the development sector, then pursuing the one-year-long PGDRDM is a better option. It is more practical oriented. But if you are a graduate and want to build a strong academic profile before joining this sector, then choosing the 2-year long course is better. It is an AICTE approved program. However, both courses require you to have a bachelor's degree.
I am currently pursuing B.Tech CSE at LPU. According to me, LPU is one of the best institutes for BTech in Computer Science because of its excellent academics, top placements, scholarship facility, and more.
LPU was ranked 50 by NIRF in 2023 for its Engineering courses. Other than that, LPU has attained the 3rd rank because of the coding expertise demonstrated by its students on the International Coding Platform- HackerEarth. More than 90 students of B.Tech Computer Science at LPU cleared the TCS National Qualifier Test (NQT). The highest package offered to B.Tech Computer Science students at LPU is around INR 64 LPA, and the average package is around INR 14.97 LPA.
I don’t know much about Amity Gwalior, but LPU is definitely a good choice for B.Tech Computer Science.
I have some friends from Brainware University and they helped me with information about the eligibility criteria for admission in the multimedia courses at Brainware University. Which is discussed below.
