Is it worth doing a B.Tech Engineering Physics from DTU or not? What are its placement records and whats your experience with this college so far?

S
StarlightHarmony Posted On : March 28th, 2026

Doing a B.Tech in Engineering Physics from DTU is definitely worth it! The curriculum is a great blend of core physics and electronics, which prepares you well for industry applications like VLSI and semiconductor manufacturing. The faculty is top-notch, and they know their stuff. I’ve had the chance to intern at a reputed company through my society, and the stipends can go as high as 1L per month. Plus, the placement records are impressive—85% of students got placed last year, with the highest package touching 1.7 crore! If you're thinking about higher studies or a solid job, DTU is a fantastic choice.

How much time does it take for the end semester results to be declared after the end of exams in DTU for B.Des??

V
VelociraptorVoyager Posted On : March 28th, 2026

Honestly, waiting for the end semester results at DTU can feel like ages, but they usually take about 4 to 5 weeks to be declared after exams. I’m in my first year of the B.Des program, and while I’m still adjusting to college life, I’ve heard from seniors that it’s pretty standard. At least it gives us some time to get back to our creative projects while we wait!

How is B.Tech Electronics & Communication Engineering branch at DTU? What about its placement in 2025/26??

B
BurningReticent Posted On : March 28th, 2026

Hello Aspirant,

DTU outshines NSUT in terms of placements, infrastructure, campus life, and brand value.

Here are some insights from reviews and statistics:

  • For core companies, NSUT may be a better choice for automobile and industrial branches due to a higher number of core companies per student.
  • Top companies visiting NSUT include Microsoft, Google, Amazon, Morgan Stanley, Tower Research, Adobe, and Uber for placements.
  • In 2023, DTU's highest package offered was 35.9 LPA, with an average package of 21.31 LPA. In 2022, NSUT successfully placed 977 out of 1,092 BTech and MTech students.

Hope this helps!

Is doing B.Tech Information Technology from DTU any good?

V
VelvetAlchemist Posted On : March 28th, 2026

I’m really enjoying my B.Tech in Information Technology at DTU. The curriculum is great, and the faculty is highly qualified. The college has a good placement record, too. By the time you reach your 7th semester, you can apply for placements, and big companies like Amazon and Snapdragon come to recruit. Internships are also available from the 3rd year, which gives us a chance to build our resumes early. The fee structure is reasonable for the quality of education we receive, especially with scholarships available for those who qualify.

How is the BA at DTU? What are the placement opportunities and rankings for this branch??

D
DilapidatedLaurel Posted On : March 28th, 2026

I joined the BA program at DTU mainly because it’s one of the reputed colleges in Delhi, and I wanted to dive deeper into economics and history. The teachers are mostly experienced, especially the guest faculty. When it comes to placements, it’s a mixed bag. Companies like PROBO and Mckinley Rise are offering internships, but the placement replies can be a bit delayed, especially from big companies. The highest package was 13 LPA, which sounds impressive, but the average is around 5 LPA, so keep that in mind. Overall, I think this course sets a good foundation if you’re looking to pursue an MBA later.

Should I go for B.Tech Mathematics and Computing in DTU or B.Tech Information Technology in IIIT Allahabad?

C
CloudyOblivion Posted On : March 28th, 2026

Both DTU's B.Tech in Mathematics and Computing and IIIT Allahabad's B.Tech in Information Technology have their unique strengths. DTU has a solid curriculum and a great faculty-to-student ratio, making it suitable for those interested in a structured learning environment. The campus life at DTU seems vibrant, with active societies and good sports facilities, plus impressive placement stats with top companies like Google and Microsoft visiting for recruitment. On the flip side, IIIT Allahabad offers a more tech-focused approach with strong internship opportunities, and students often land high-paying roles if they maintain a good CGPA. Personally, I'd lean towards IIIT Allahabad if you're more inclined towards tech and want robust internship experiences, but DTU is a fantastic choice if you value a well-rounded campus life and a broader engineering perspective.

What is the total approx fees of DTU for B.Des??

S
SerpentineLegato Posted On : March 28th, 2026

The fee structure at DTU/NSUT is the same for all categories of students, with no concessions based on caste. However, there are some fee reimbursement schemes from the Delhi government based on economic criteria:

  • Merit-cum-Means Linked Financial Assistance Scheme for Higher Education:
    • Families enrolled in the National Food Security Scheme receive 100% assistance.
    • Families with a yearly income of less than 2.5 lakh get 50% assistance.
    • Families with an income between 2.5 - 6 lakh annually receive 25% assistance.
  • Higher Education and Skill Development Guarantee Scheme: The government acts as a guarantor for any loan taken by students up to 10 lakh.

You must apply for these schemes separately; they are not automatically processed by the college.

Regarding NIT Delhi and other NITs, they are under the central government and have a different fee structure. SC/ST/PH students receive a 100% remission on tuition fees but are required to pay hostel and mess charges.

Here are the fee details for SC/ST students from last year, 2022.

Hope this helps! Best wishes.

What is the in hand salary of students who graduated from B.Des DTU??

I
IndigoReverie Posted On : March 28th, 2026

As a current B.Des student at DTU, I’ve learned that the in-hand salary for graduates can vary a lot. From what I’ve gathered, many students land jobs with an average package of about 10-12 lakhs per annum. There are some exceptional cases where students have even bagged offers as high as 1.8 crores! I’m looking forward to internships in my third year, which should give me a clearer picture of the salary potential.

What is the total approx fees of DTU for B.Tech Mechanical Engineering??

R
RunicProdigy Posted On : March 28th, 2026

Bro, check this out!
Bhai, agar aapki family income 4 lakh se kam hai, toh aapko fee concession mil sakta hai, lekin vo end mein milta hai.

  • Jab aap DTU mein admission lete ho, toh aapko counselling ke dauran 95,000 ka acceptance fee dena hota hai.
  • College shuru hone par notice aata hai ki aapko 1,42,000 ka fee dena hai.
  • College ke 2nd ya 3rd din tak aap date extend karne ke liye application de sakte ho, lekin vo sirf 30 din ke liye hota hai.
  • Aapko fee pay karni hoti hai irrespective of your caste.
  • Phir aap scholarship ke liye apply kar sakte ho, agar mil gaya toh thoda relief ho sakta hai, lekin scholarship par poora depend mat karo kyunki vo full money nahi de sakta.

Aap admission le sakte ho aur orientation ya college shuru hone se pehle loan apply karna beneficial hoga.
Main bhi DTU CSE student hoon (ye sab information 2024 fees ke according hai, agle saalon mein fees badh sakti hai naye students ke liye).

Thanks kar do bhai! Aur kuch puchna ho toh welcome hai!

How many semesters are typically included in B.Des program at DTU?

B
BaronVonBlumpkin Posted On : March 28th, 2026

At DTU, the B.Des program consists of 8 semesters over a duration of 4 years. I’m just starting out, but I’ve heard that the curriculum is quite comprehensive, covering everything from product design to industrial design in the first year. This setup really helps us build a solid foundation before we choose our specific areas of focus.
