Both institutes are good at offering effective classes to their students. When comparing placement support for CSE, IIT BHU is leading more than MNNIT. The students are placed in companies with high-salary jobs from IIT BHU, and the highest CTC stood at INR 1.2 CPA this year. The top recruiters were Microsoft, Uber, Airbnb India, and so on. In the MNNIT, the CTC is 45 lakh per annum, and only 1 or 2 students get the opportunity. IIT BHU placements 2023 are given below

Number of companies participated

117

Number of offers

472

Number of PPOs

335

Highest CTC

INR 1.2 CPA

You can opt for IIT BHU for effective placement support, good classes, better faculty, an IIT tag, and more research opportunities.

Can BITS Pilani be preferred over IIT BHU for mechanical or electronics engineering?

SK
Shreya Karmakar Posted On : July 31st, 2024
student at IIT BHU

IIT BHU and BITS Pilani are two highly reputed institutes for engineering studies in India. IIT BHU would be a better option over BITS Pilani because of these reasons:

  • Brand Value: IIT BHU carries the prestigious “IIT'' tag which holds more brand value than the “BITS Pilani'' tag. This will become important to you when applying to foreign universities for your higher education.

  • Fees: As a government institution, the fees of IIT BHU is much more affordable as compared to BITS Pilani. This in turn, gives IIT BHU a higher ROI (Return on Investment), as IIT BHU offers even better placements than BITS Pilani.

Here are the important comparisons between IIT BHU and BITS Pilani:

*(for SC/ST/PwD students, and others with family income <= 1 LPA, the tuition fee is 0. The tuition is exempted by 2/3rd for students with family income <=5 lakh and > 1 lakh).

IIT BHU is much more cost-effective than BITS Pilani, and has better placements as well. It also delivers the much renowned ‘IITian’ tag to its students.

Because of all these reasons, I would recommend you choose IIT BHU over BITS Pilani for your Mechanical/Electronics Engineering.

Is there an interview at NIMHANS for Mphil clinical psychology after passing your entrance exam? If so, how is the interview?

PT
Pradnya Tripathi Posted On : September 30th, 2023
NIMHANS (2022)

Yes, everyone who clears the entrance exam for MPhil Clinical Psychology at NIMHANS is called for an interview. However, not everyone gets selected because the number of seats available is very low in comparison to the shortlisted students.

The interviewers don’t ask much technical questions and usually assess your personality and talents. The most common question asked is ‘Why do you want to join this specific course?’. So, it’s better to prepare for it beforehand. Sometimes candidates might be enquired about their post-graduation thesis.

Usually, it’s just a very personal interview with no technical questions so don’t worry about preparing for it and just be your real self.

What is the difference between the CSE and computer and communication engineering courses at the Manipal Institute of Technology?

MS
Medha Sinha Posted On : September 9th, 2023
Studied at Manipal University

Here are some key differences between the CSE and Computer and Communication Engineering courses at the Manipal Institute of Technology.

  • CCE comes under the I&CT department so it comprises concepts related to networking and communication along with a few modules of CSE while CSE deals with an algorithmic approach to solving problems and software engineering.
  • CCE is a new branch and its placement scenario is unknown although it has become the 4th most popular branch. CSE is the most preferred branch of MIT Manipal and therefore also has the best placements.

CCE has a lot of courses like Cloud Computing, Big Data Analysis, Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, and Computer Vision. Specialization in these courses makes you a favorable candidate for placements in a lot of giant tech companies. So both the courses offer excellent job opportunities.

Which is the better college between Deen Dayal Upadhyaya College and ARSD College for a B.Sc. in Computer Science (Hons), mainly in terms of faculty and course-related infrastructure such as computer

PA
Praniti Arora Posted On : November 26th, 2021
B.Sc (H) Computer Science from Deen Dayal Upadhyaya College, Delhi University (2018)

It may not be right to compare the colleges under DU among each other. As most of them have similar curriculum and teaching techniques.

But if infrastructure is considered Deen Dayal Upadhyaya College (DDUC) is far better than other colleges under DU. As it is a newly established institution, the facilities provided are upgraded with the latest technology.

They also are known to have a very highly experienced faculty, some of them even having 20-30 years of teaching experience. DDUC is popular for its Science and Commerce streams.

Therefore if you wish to choose among DDUC and ARSD College for an Honours degree in Computer Science, it is suggested that you go for the former rather than the latter.

Which one is better for a CSE: Jamia Millia Islamia or NIT Kurukshetra?

PS
Prajakta Sharan Posted On : September 2nd, 2023
Studied at the National Institute of Technology, Kurukshetra

One of my friends recently passed out from NIT Kurukshetra. He was all praise for the coding culture there and also the placements. A lot of good companies like Google Microsoft Directi offer great packages given that your profile is deserving.

  • The city life however is not very dynamic because Kurukshetra is a small city with very few places to hang out unlike Delhi, a very vibrant city.
  • The hostel life is great because you make very good friends here. Students are provided with excellent internet facilities.
  • The faculty is decent like any other engineering college with a mix of both good and below-average professors.
  • The best part is that students won’t have to buy any study material from outside. You get 5 books from the college library for the entire semester and 3 additional books for a 15-day cycle.
  • The food served in the mess is average but it's the same everywhere.
  • The infrastructure is average but things are slowly getting better under the new director. New buildings and a swimming pool have been made.

Here is a brief comparison of both NIT Kurukshetra and Jamia Milia:

Parameters

NIT Kurukshetra

Jamia Millia

Fees

INR 1.6 Lakhs (BTech first year)

INR 16,150 ( BTech 1st Year Fees)

Ranking

58 out of 200 in 2023

3 out of 200 colleges in 2023

Highest CTC

INR 1.25 CPA

INR 25 LPA

Average CTC

INR 13.89 LPA

INR 9 LPA

Top Recruiters

ICICI Lombard, HCL Technologies, Microsoft, Adani Group

KPMG, Accenture, ICICI Bank

It’s best to go for NIT Kurukshetra unless you have any financial constraints.

Which one should I choose between IIIT Allahabad IT and Jadavpur University CSE if I am interested in coding and research in computer science?

AR
Aditi Roy Posted On : June 7th, 2023
lives in Gwalior, Madhya Pradesh, India

Both JU and IIIT-A have their own set of strengths and weaknesses. Here are a few strengths of each to help you determine which institution to finally opt for

  1. IIIT-A:
    • IIIT-A is better than JU when it comes to coding. The students at IIIT-A are into coding all year round. Labs are open 24*7 and students are allocated a personal desktop with internet facilities for 4 years, 24*7 basis
    • Core courses are introduced at IIIT-A in the first sem. This gives students extra time to prepare for GATE and placements
    • Research facility at IIIT A is good enough. The professors are helpful and supportive towards the students who wish to engage in research work
    • IIIT-A has a much better infrastructure than JU. It has world-class labs and all the facilities are top-notch
    • The faculty at IIIT-A is very helpful and supportive
    • In terms of placements, IIIT-A is the winner, with placements increasing exponentially each year
    • Hostel facilities are excellent. It has a strong alumni base
  2. JU:
    • JU provides the students with the freedom and the right mix of interdisciplinary research opportunities
    • The faculty at JU is also very cooperative and supportive. The Research students are supported in every possible manner
    • JU ranks at the 11th position in the NIRF India Rankings 2022: Engineering
    • Being a public state university, the course fee at JU for a four-year B.E. CSE program is only 10,000 INR/year

Thus, both JU and IIIT-A are good options for you to consider.

B.E. CSE program at JU can be compared with B.Tech IT program at IIIT-A to reach the conclusion.

What has more value, an IPM from IIM Indore or a BBA from some reputed college and then an MBA from some top IIM?

FS
Farah Shah Posted On : January 12th, 2023
Studies Integrated Programme in Management, IIM Indore (Expected 2024)

First, keep in mind that you're looking for a program that will help you develop your entire personality while also giving you access to cutting-edge amenities and facilities and an assured MBA from one of the best B schools in the nation. The IPM course offered by IIM Indore is ideal for you if this is what you're looking for.

If, however, you are solely interested in a BBA program and are confident that you can enter IIM ABC after BBA despite the competition from roughly 2 lakh engineers, then go for it.

However, if you choose to do so, you also have the choice to leave the IPM after receiving your undergraduate degree and enroll in a better business school to complete your MBA. Therefore, if you must choose between the two, it is advised that you go with the first because it will give you better exposure, a more competitive environment, better amenities, and a rare opportunity to graduate from an IIM that is among the top 5 in the nation.
