The Aerospace Engineering department MIT Chennai was the first to offer an undergraduate program in aerospace engineering in India. The department runs one full-time UG, three full-time postgraduates (PG) programs, and one part-time PG & research program in various Aerospace Engineering-related fields. • For admission into B.E/B. Tech in MIT Chennai, students will have to obtain a minimum of 50% in 10+2 with PCM as compulsory subjects and must appear for the TANCET entrance test.

• Students with 50% in B.E/B. Tech and having a relevant GATE score can apply for M.Tech programs, whereas admission to BTech and MCA programs of Manipal Institute of Technology is based on the MET exam.

With each passing year, the number of companies visited and the number of students getting selected is increasing. All the placement process is possible for the placement and training cell.

The university provides pre-placement training to its students before they appear for the campus interview. To have a real-life experience, students are taken for an industrial visit in their final year. Students are eligible for the placement process if they have 60% aggregate from 10th to BTech grade.

If you are an out-of-state aspirant, your JEE Main ranking must be around the opening and closing range of 2936 - 12187. If you belong to the home state then your rank must fall under 14665 - 31620. To fall under this range you must score around 150 marks.

The Aeronautical Engineering Department was established in the year 2006. It offers B.E.Aeronautical Engineering with an aim to attain excellence and a global reputation in Aeronautical Engineering education and research. The minimum eligibility criteria for admission in this branch is 45% marks in 12^th.
