Faculty

VIT:

• More than 80% of the faculty members at VIT are Ph.D. holders, with a great record of academic and professional experience in their field of teaching.

CGC Landran, while a good university, does not offer any programs in B Tech chemical engineering. Students can opt for any other B.Tech programs in Mechanical, Computer Science, or Electronics and Communication Engineering at CGC.

DCRUST Murthal offers a program in Chemical Engineering. Some of the specifics regarding the same are mentioned below:

Eligibility:

• In order to be eligible for admission at DCRUST Murthal, students will have to provide JEE MAIN scores and pass 10+2 grade with 75% and physics, math or biology and chemistry as their subject.
• Admission is mainly made on the basis of inter-se-merit of JEE MAIN.
• CGC Landran has a similar admission eligibility criteria.

Fee Structure:

The fee structure of DCRUST has been compared with CGC Landran. However, this is only for the purpose of comparison as CGC Landran does not offer this course.

Placements:

• CGC Landran has the highest offered package at 35 lakhs per annum whereas the highest package offered at DCRUST Murthal is about 10 lakhs per annum.
• DCRUST Murthal has recruiters like Jindal Iron and Steel, Idea Cellular, TCS, Mediatek, Tech Mahindra. Moreover, it is known to have near about 100% placement rates.
• Companies visiting CGC Landran include Axis Bank, IBM, Cipla, Polaris, Wipro, Amazon, and about 65000 students who have been placed via the 691 recruiters that visit the campus every year.

DCRUST Murthal is a popular choice among students for chemical engineering specifically. However, if you are not keen on looking for that field particularly, placement wise, students are advised to opt for CGC Landran as it has a higher placement rate and more connects as compared to DCRUST Murthal. However, if chemical engineering is your chosen field, DCRUST Murthal is a good choice.

It’s difficult to determine which institute is better. However, given below are information about the colleges which may help you make the decision.

Ranking:

• Nirma University: The college was ranked among the top 100 institutions in the country by NIRF in the academic year 2018.
• NIT Patna: The college was ranked as 134th by NIRF among top engineering colleges of India in the year 2019. 

Admission & Eligibility:

• Nirma University: For M.Tech in computer science engineering they need to be graduated and secure at least 55% in graduation apart from that they need to give the GATE exam.
• NIT Patna: To secure admissions in the college a candidate should get at least 50% in graduation and should appear for GATE exam.

Faculty:

• Nirma University: For almost every subject the faculty of the college provides a tutorial and a theory class.
• NIT Patna: The faculties are well qualified and have vast experience in both the terms, research, and even projects. 

Placements:

• Nirma University: The highest CTC that was offered was Rs.16.6 LPA and the average CTC that was recorded was 8.2 LPA. The top recruiting companies that visited the college were: - Infosys, Tata Motors, Amul, Amazon, Bajaj Alliance, Larsen and Toubro, Daiken, and Bajaj Auto.
• NIT Patna: In the year 2019, there were a total of 80 students available for placements in Computer science & Engineering, out of which all of them were selected. There were a total of 93 job offers from the company. The highest package went up to INR 39.2 LPA and the average package went up to INR 7.42 LPA.

Therefore, if a choice has to be made, one can look at the different parameters mentioned above.

Both institutes fall into the B+ category. However, Xavier Institute of Management and Entrepreneurship (XIME), Kochi makes for a slightly better choice.

The reasons for the same are given below.

• The brand “Xavier” is always better than any other college unless they are some other big private colleges or IIMs.
• XIME, Kochi was established recently. However, within only a few years, it has shown tremendous growth. Asia Pacific Institute of Management, Delhi is struck at the same level though it was established way back.
• Asia Pacific Institute of Management, Delhi is located in the Delhi NCR region which obviously has a location advantage over Kochi. However, the institute has shown less stellar growth than XIME, Kochi.
• XIME Kochi has better faculty than the Asia Pacific Institute of Management, Delhi. Also, it has better brand recognition among corporates pan India than Asia Pacific Institute of Management, Delhi.

Sharda University is one of the top universities in India. The placement rate for this course is up to 90%. Every year top companies visit the campus for placement. Admission for B. Pharmacy is based on the results of the 12th board.

Galgotias University is ranked under the top 20 universities in India. The admission process for B.Pharma is fully based on the results of 10+2. University is known for its good placement and infrastructure.

Given below are the differences between Galgotias and Sharda University for B. Pharma.

Admission:

Sharda University:

The application fee for the undergraduate courses at Sharda University is 1200 INR.

• Admissions are fully based on the merit of the 12th board. Students are required to have at least 50% to apply for this course. Physics, Maths, Biology, and chemistry should be there as primary subjects.

• The selection is through SUAT.

A total of 60 seats are available for this course by the university.

Galgotias University:

The application process is fully online with an application fee of 1,100 INR.

• Likewise in Sharda University, admissions in Galgotias university are also based on the results of the 12th class. Students should have at least 60% in 12th to apply for this course.

• Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics or Biology or Biotechnology should be there as mandatory subjects in 10+2.

Placement:

Sharda University:

• Companies like Patanjali, Cipla, Sun Pharma, Himalaya, etc visit the campus every year for good placements.

• The average salary package is 4 lakhs and the highest salary package offered to students is up to 7 lakhs.

Galgotias university:

• Companies like Cipla, Ranbaxy, Apollo, Troikaa pharmaceuticals, etc visit campus in search of placements.

• The average salary offered is up to 5 lakh and the highest salary package is 8 lakhs.

The infrastructure of both Sharda University and Galgotias University is quite great and the institutes have well experienced and highly qualified faculties for BPharm. As for which institute will be better for you, you should decide that.

SRM, Sonepat, and GCET, Lucknow are two top-notch universities in the country. These private universities are AICTE approved. Both institutes have distinctive features. B.Tech. is one of the much sought-after programs at these universities. While GCET has not been ranked by NAAC, SRM was graded ‘A’ by the same. GCET is ranked 201 for BTech by NIRF.

Admission:

Some of the important factors for admission to BTech courses at SRM and GCET are as follows.

Infrastructure and Facilities:

GCET:
