NS
Niraj Shah Posted On : September 13th, 2022
Studied at Symbiosis School of Economics, Pune

Symbiosis School of Economics is among the best Economics colleges in Pune. It is a great option for pursuing Economics (Hons) in terms of academics, faculties, and career prospects. Students of the course get recruitment in sectors such as Analytics, Banking, Finance, etc.

It’s possible for students without Mathematics in 10+2 to pursue Economics (Hons) from Symbiosis. However, the coursework includes Mathematics and Statistics. It’s a little difficult for Humanities students to used to these subjects, at first. But, with effort, you will eventually catch up.

Does ISI conducts separate exam for Delhi and Kolkata campus for MSQE course?

RG
Rahul Gupta Posted On : September 6th, 2021
MSQE from Indian Statistical Institute (2019)

One of my friends graduated from ISI, Delhi Campus. So I might be able to give you some information about it.

  • For the Kolkata and Delhi campuses, I don’t believe there are separate MSQE exams.
  • When filling out the application, you must choose between Kolkata and Delhi.
  • If nothing has changed since 2009, which I assume it has, you will only have to take one exam and select your campus on the application form.

However, in Delhi and Kolkata, interviews are performed at the relevant locations. That is, students who are chosen in a Delhi interview are admitted to ISI Delhi, and vice versa.

Is an MBA (PGPM 1 year course) from Great Lakes Chennai worth 19 lakhs?

GM
Gaurav Mukharjee Posted On : August 7th, 2023
Great Lakes Institute of Management

It is based on your interests. Great Lakes is a comparatively good institute that offers effective academics and the best infrastructure facilities, especially in the IT sector. But if you are interested in concentrating on other fields like HR, Finance, and so on, then opt for NMIMS, SIBM, SCMHRD, XIMB, and the New IIMS.

Most of the leading B schools are charging close to 20 lakhs for this course, so it is worth paying around 19 lakhs at Great Lakes Institute of Management as it has better placement support

The recent Placement Statistics at GLIM are mentioned below:

Highest Package

INR 12 Lakhs per annum

Average Package

INR 6.55 Lakhs per annum

How is the BCA course at the School of Information Technology in IMS Noida?

SM
Shiva Mehta Posted On : March 10th, 2023
MBA Finance, S. P. Jain Institute of Management and Research (1996)

The above answer is based on the reviews of my friends who are alumni of IMS Noida and are successful today. It's a very unbiased review and intends no criticism of the institute.

The primary 3 aspects that are the foundation of any college are its students, teachers, and infrastructure. So I will be writing the review based on these aspects only.

Teachers

There is a big difference between being qualified and being a good teacher. While most of the teachers are highly qualified, only a few are good teachers. Some teachers that genuinely care about the students and try their best to bring good results out of their students are

  • Sudhir Sir and Nancy Maam
  • A very practical Maths teacher Pankaj Sir
  • Very emphatic teacher Rashmi Maam
  • Barshma Maam who organizes cultural events.
  • Apart from these gems most of the teachers are full of ego and lack sympathy. The teachers do not motivate startups, athletes, or extracurricular activities and merely involve themselves in robotic teaching. There is no structured pedagogy and teachers are very lethargic. The syllabus is outdated and all this affects placements largely.

Students

Obviously under the guidance and training of such an average college, the quality of students stoops low. Most of them are lazy and just mug up concepts. But there are a few who want to strive hard but the lack of necessary resources does not let them excel.

Infrastructure

  • The computer labs have very old systems and the speed of the internet is extremely poor.
  • The classrooms lack ventilation and there are no microphones for lectures.
  • The wifi facilities are extremely poor and students hardly have open access despite paying fees for the same
  • The toilets are unhygienic and dirty
  • The library has a good collection of books the only drawback being no reminder system for renewal of books

All these points are genuine and not based on any official data.

What other course can I study after the NTTF?

UM
Ujjaini Mahato Posted On : September 8th, 2021
Studied at Nettur Technical Training Foundation (2011)

Nettur Technical Training Foundation (NTTF) is a group of 20 technical training centers located all across India. After you have completed a course from NTTF, you can do various things.

  • You can do post-diploma from NTTF itself like CP05, CP10, CP18, and CP19.
  • You can become a senior technician at the Institutes of Engineers India (IEI).
  • You can pick up lateral entry courses from institutes and universities such as Sikkim Manipal University (SMU), IGNOU, etc.
  • You can even apply for lateral entry in various courses in universities outside of India such as those from New Zealand, Ireland, and Singapore.
  • You can look for job opportunities during the campus placement itself.
  • However, doing a bachelor’s degree in parallel with your job hunting will definitely improve your chances.

These are some of the options which I found out you can do after studying at NTTF. You can choose one according to your choice.

Which is best for BArch Manipal University or LPU?

U
Upasana Posted On : May 28th, 2024
B.Arch from LPU (Graduated 2022)

In my opinion, LPU is a better choice for pursuing a B.Arch. First of all, LPU is ranked #16 among top Architecture institutes in India by NIRF Ranking 2023.

The top advantages of pursuing a B.Arch at LPU are-

  • The program has a top-notch curriculum that aims to provide the students an extensive understanding of this field.
  • Financial help and several scholarships are available to B.Arch students at LPU.
  • Expert academicians and industry experts teach several sections of the curriculum.
  • There are opportunities for internships that emphasise controlling real-world scenarios.
  • The department has an outstanding placement record, with INR 31.69 LPA as the highest package in 2023.

Thus, based on these advantages, I would highly recommend LPU for your B.Arch degree.

Btech in Computer Science, Lovely Professional University (LPU) (Graduated 2020)

If you are considering pursuing an MBA, LPU should be your top choice over Galgotia or Sharda. Here are a few reasons why LPU stands out:

  • LPU has a 100% placement record in MBA. LPU MBA graduates have been placed with some of the world's leading corporates such as Practo, Think and Learn, Colgate Pamolive, Bajaj Electrical, Redington, MRF, Bridgestone, Wipro CCLG, Canara Bank, Madura F&L, Axis Bank, ICICI Securities, RBS, WNS, and Ocwen Financial Services.
  • The highest international and domestic package offered during LPU placements in 2022 was INR 300 LPA and INR 64 LPA, respectively. A total of 431 students were offered salary packages between INR 10 LPA and INR 62.72 LPA during Lovely Professional University placements in 2021 and 2022.
  • LPU's hotel management students were selected by Air India, India's oldest aviation brand, at a CTC of 8.5 Lakhs.
  • Top corporates such as Verizon, Gemalto, Josh Technology, Asian Paints, Berger, LG Soft, Tavant, and Gemalto have selected LPU students for dream packages, i.e., 4.5 Lac and above.
  • LPU's HM students have been placed with some of the reputed National and International brands like Hyatt, Oberoi's, Leela, Marriott, Grand Hayatt, Zuri, and many more.
  • LPU offers on-job training (OJT) to its students. Once students are placed, they can pursue training with the same company.
  • Apart from their placements, LPU also provides rich support to its students to focus on their entrepreneurship projects. This helps students to set up their own businesses while studying on campus.

In summary, if you're looking for a top MBA program with excellent placement opportunities and support for entrepreneurship, LPU should be your top choice.
