As a current student at IIT Indore, I am really enjoying my campus life as of now. Apart from academics we have various cultural events and clubs to participate in and discover our interests. Some of the clubs that we have are music club, drama club, quiz club, and dance club, to name just a few.

Being a BTech student I was worried about whether I’d have a life outside academia at all, but the project works, course-specific projects, industry trips, and other activities have really widened my experience. 

Apart from technical events like “Baja”, there are vibrant cultural fests and events like Fluxus, and social welfare programs like Avana. Overall, the IIT Indore campus is extremely vibrant, welcoming, and full of experiences.

IIT Indore is in a good position compared to other IITs. IIT Indore graduates are among the top 1% of engineers in India. Although it is still relatively new compared to other IITs, it has received recognition from critics worldwide for its reputable graduates who hold important positions across the globe.

IIT Indore has been ranked #28 in the overall category by NIRF 2023. Its ranking has gone up to 3 ranks. As of 2024, it is ranked #26 by QS Asian University Ranking (Southern Asia).

There are majorly 2 types of diploma courses offered by IIT Madras i.e. Diploma In Programming and Diploma in Data Science. Both the Diploma in Programming and Diploma in Data Science courses are divided into three terms, four months each, January Term, May Term, and September Term.

One of my friends is pursuing a BTech from IIT Mandi so I think I’m better positioned to tell you about its library. 

IIT Mandi has library facilities on both North and South campuses. The library offers a vast collection of books related to all fields (43,694 books), journeys, and electronic resources (48,746 e-resources). The library also has multiple reading rooms that provide an excellent environment for education. IIT Mandi’s library operations are automated using KOHA software. Additionally, School of School of Physical Sciences at IIT Mandi also has a central library with similar features, including a good collection of AV materials such as CDs and DVDs.
