How hard is it to score a 9.8+ CGPA in BITS Pilani?
It is not that difficult to maintain a 9.8+ CGPA over the course of a semester, but it is pretty hard in the first semester; you actually need to score 10 points to reach the goal. In the following semesters, you can be among the top 10 with good interaction with teachers during the lectures and a good performance in the class tests. Do not mug up the concepts and theory; rather, try to have a deeper understanding of every topic. And last, but not least, it is important to stay away from distractions and reduce your leisure time.
What are the things which differentiate NIT Surathkal from other NITs?
Being at an NIT is itself a great deal. The tag of ‘Nitian’ holds lots of value and prestige. I am listing down certain unique elements of my college-
- ISRO has set up a Regional Academic Center for Space over here to carry out joint research and development activities in space tech.
- NIT Surathkal has its own private beach. The beach is just 10 minutes away from hostels, and the sunset here is absolutely breathtaking.
- There are many core industries located near the campus. You can work as an unpaid intern in them, in case you fail to land a paid internship. This comes as a great relief for students from Civil, Electrical, Metallurgy and Chemical.
- The campus contains numerous shops and canteens. An app named “ChangePay” is available exclusively for the campus students to order items, which will then be delivered to your hostel.
- Each year on Republic Day, one of the clubs of NITK (DDFC) organizes a one day fest called BHARAT DARSHAN. It is a competition between students from different states where you can represent your culture through dance, drama, etc. in order to win the title.
- There is a virtual lab on campus. There’s also a Centre for System Design (CSD).
- Here are some places you can visit from NITK- Kayaking, Coorg, Goa, Manipal, Malpe beach, Kudremukh, Chikmagalur, Mysore, Bangalore, Ooty, Jog falls, etc. . You can easily rent a two/four wheeler to visit these spots.
- NITK hosts its technical fest-ENGINEER, and its cultural fest-INCIDENT during the odd and even semesters respectively.

- Hostel Life: NITJ's hostel life should be admired. There, one learns how to live life by helping others, managing personal expenditures, negotiating, and so on.
- Green Campus: The vast majority of students are very interested in exploring the campus each day. The campus is well-equipped and includes a green belt.
What is the scope of instrumentation & control engineering in NIT Trichy placement-wise?
NIT Trichy placements are good for Instrumentation & Control Engineering. Microsoft, P&G, Reliance Industries, etc. are some of the major recruiters that take part in the placement drive. The highest CTC offered to the students of this branch is around INR 40-50 LPA. Around 65-70% of students also get internship opportunities.
Should I join IIM Udaipur?
Despite being a new IIM, the institute has a good academic and placement record. Here are the reasons why you should consider IIM Udaipur, for your MBA.
- It has AACSB accreditation. IIM Udaipur is the youngest B-school to get this accreditation in India.

What is passing criteria in CCS University for B sc PCM 1st year?
The passing mark for BSc PCM at CCS University is 40 out of 100 for a subject. Whereas, students need to score at least 50% overall to qualify in a semester. In practical subjects, you need to score a minimum of 17 out of 50 to pass.
Apart from these, there are two additional qualifying papers. You need to score passing marks in these papers as well.
Is TNAU a good university?
TNAU is a top-rated agricultural university and it is the oldest institute established. Tamil Nadu Agricultural University (TNAU) was rated amongst the top 3, followed directly by Indian Agricultural Research Institute (IARI), Pusa, New Delhi, and Punjab Agricultural University (PAU), Ludhiana, Punjab.
The main campus of TNAU is located in AC&RI, TNAU, Coimbatore. I have a few friends from TNAU and according to them, TNAU is a university worth studying at. The classes at the institute are usually held between 7.30 P.M to 5.30 P.M. Most essentially, the exposure at the university is largely diversified as well.
Is the environmental studies exam of Delhi university tough?
At Delhi University, Environmental Studies is an AECC subject and compulsory for the first semester. The examination is not that tough. The question asked are related to the curriculum and the syllabus taught by the teachers. But students usually do not take these classes seriously. That’s why many times students find the examination difficult. If you follow the classes seriously, you can easily answer the questions.
How good is the PGPEx program at IIM Shillong?
There is often a misunderstanding about placements at IIMs after course completion. It is important to understand that placements are entirely student-driven and depend on the individual's efforts and abilities. Many PGPEX programs at IIMs have a significant number of students from IT services, and these students may not be as diversified or knowledgeable about other industry segments. This can create a gap between the companies and the students and may result in a lower placement rate for some students.
Unfortunately, many students who enroll in PGPEX programs do so based on their academic profiles or high scores on entrance exams, rather than their knowledge or experience in other industries. As a result, students who come from non-IT backgrounds may be more successful in securing placements due to their diverse understanding of general management. How is life in IIIT Kota?
IIIT Kota is a recent campus. The institute offers B.Tech only in two specializations: Computer Science Engineering (CSE) and Electronics & Communication Engineering (ECE).

Education:
- The institute is similar to any other average institute. A few core teachers are decent who have been teaching for years. But most of them are young and inexperienced.
- Only 10% of the taught topics are applicable in real jobs and the rest 90% are outdated.
- The positive side of the curriculum is that the students are liberal to change their elective subjects by intimating the course coordinator.
Facilities:
- The fee for B.Tech is 9.24 Lakhs. The fee is in competition with any other private institute. It is beyond any government institute.
- Even the facilities are not parallel to the fee charged by the institute.
- The classrooms and labs are considerate.
- There is a lack of sports opportunities.
- The hostel facility especially for boys is pathetic. The internet is slow, mobile networks are poor, mess food is tasteless, and bathrooms are untidy. Some students prefer shifting to flats because of the same.
- There is no ragging and the seniors are helpful and approachable.
Placement & Internship:
- If you are aiming for the top companies in the market then the institute is not a perfect fit for you. The institute struggles to call companies to campus. So, there is no stability in terms of placement here.
- Even for the internships, only a few decent companies visit the campus. The highest stipend was offered at INR 1 Lakh.
