Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University, Hyderabad is ranked 45th in India and 3rd in Hyderabad by NIRF. Whereas, Gokaraju Rangaraju Institute of Engineering and Technology, Hyderabad is ranked 179th in India and 10th in Hyderabad by NIRF.

Admission:

JNTUH- It offers a BTech program for Mechanical Engineering.

• Students with 10+2 with a combination of PCM are eligible for admission to the course.
• It accepts TS-EAMCET exam scores for admission.

The total course fee for BTech Mechanical is INR 50,000.

GRIET- The institute offers a BTech program in CSE.

• The required eligibility is 10+2 from a recognized board.
• The admission is based on EAMCET scores.

The course fee for 4 years is 4.88 lakhs.

Infrastructure:

• JNTUH has well-equipped computer labs to appease the needs of 465 students working simultaneously. A 24/7wifi facility is available on campus. The facilities offered also includes fully furnished classrooms with LCD projectors & computers.
• GRIET has a decent infrastructure and offers facilities such as classrooms with LCD and computers. A huge library is also available to cater to the needs of the students.

Placements:

GRIET-

• The median salary offered to the CSE students is 3.8 LPA.
• Companies like Amazon, TCS, Microsoft, Capgemini recruits students in the placement drive.

JNTUH- The placement rate for the institute is 93%.

• The maximum and minimum salary package offered to the students are 36 LPA and 3.36 LPA.
• Some of the major recruiters at the institute are Amazon, Accenture, Mahindra, TCS, etc.

The course curriculum of both the colleges is designed as per the industrial needs to make the students updated with industry trends.

It is difficult to compare two institutes for different branches. You should choose the branch you are interested in and the college according to that.

Nirma University is a private university, recognized and approved by UGC, AIU, and has been accredited grade ‘A’ by NAAC. Admissions to the college are open through both offline and online modes. The college offers B.Tech in Chemical Engineering as a four-year full-time course at a fee of Rs7.24 Lakhs for the full period.

LNM Institute of Technology (LNMIIT) is a deemed university, has been recognized by UGC and approved by AICTE, ARIIA, and AISHE. It has been accredited ‘A’ grade by the NAAC. The college does not provide Electrical Engineering however it provides B.Tech in Electronics & Communication Engineering as a four-year course at a fee of 12.36 lakhs.

Admission Procedure

Nirma University:

• The prerequisite for seeking admission to Chemical Engineering is scoring 55% and more in 10+2 examinations (PCM/B).
• Further, students are shortlisted on the basis of JEE Main or GUJCET scores.
• The course has a total of 60 seats available.

LNMIIT:

• The eligibility criteria for candidates for ECE is 60% marks in their 10+2 examinations.
• Candidates are further selected on the basis of their score in JEE Main.
• The college offers 150 seats for the course.

Infrastructure & Facilities

Nirma University:

• The college is built over a huge 115-acre campus.
• A well-equipped library is on-campus which houses over 1,20,000 books.
• The institute also provides separate hostels for boys and girls with adequate facilities.
• Other facilities such as laboratories, gym, cafeterias, medical facilities, Wi-Fi, air-conditioned classrooms and auditoriums are provided.

LNMIIT:

• The college is built over a massive 100-acre campus.
• The college library is home to a diverse collection of books and journals.
• The college provides in-campus hostels.
• Sporting facilities, laboratories for ECE, cafeterias, a gym, Wi-Fi facilities, recreation rooms, medical facilities students are provided by the institute.

Placements

• Nirma University:The course has a placement rate of 70%. Companies such as L&T, Reliance, and HUL come on-campus for placements. The package offered to students ranges between 2.5LPA and 7LPA.

• LNMIIT:The course has a placement rate of around 85%. Top recruiters include Amazon, Adobe, and Cisco. The lowest package offered is around 4LPA, while the average package is approximately 6.5LPA. The highest package offered to a student may go up to a whopping 13.5LPA.

Both colleges are good choices, however, LNMIIT specializes in engineering courses making it a notch above the other. The college scores higher than Nirma on nearly all parameters. Placements at LNMIIT are far superior as compared to the latter. However, Nirma provides a similar campus at a much lower fee making its return on investment similar to LNMIIT. Making a choice between the two would depend on one's financial preferences.

I have a few friends from LNCT and based on the reviews I got from them, I will suggest you choose the institute if you have the option. 

LNCT Bhopal is considered to be among the best colleges for higher education in central India. It is a great option if you wish to pursue a course in the domain of Computer Science. 

The college is popular among the student communities for the infrastructural facilities and placement it offers to its students. Each year, around 1000 companies visit the campus of the college to recruit students for various job profiles. Approximately 95% are placed in reputed companies through the on-campus recruitment drive organized by the college every year. 

Some of the top recruiting firms that hire students on-campus at LNCT are TCS, Wipro, Cognizant, Tech Mahindra, L&T, and Infosys. 

NIT Manipur ranks 158th for BTech by NIRF 2020. It is recognized by UGC and AICTE. It has a 300+ acres campus area. It has a faculty strength of 70 members most of them being highly qualified and PhD holders.

NIT Agartala is ranked 75 for BTech by NIRF 2020. The institute has a strength of 3101 students and a highly qualified faculty of 2450 members. 

NIT Meghalaya ranks 61st for BTech by NIRF 2020. 104 students were placed in the 2018-2019 placement program conducted by the institute. It is accredited by AICTE.

Admission Requirements - 

• Applicants should have at least 75% in their 10+2 qualifying exams with PCM with a valid score in JEE Main.
• For MTech applicants 60% in BTech or BE is required with a GATE score.
• Selection will be based on the rank obtained in the entrance exams.

Placements 

NIT Manipur 

• 20 companies visited and 50 students were placed through the placement program.
• The companies are Microsoft, Wipro, Accenture, Infosys, IBM, Capgemini, Adobe, HSBC, TCS, Zolacode, Lamzing Infosystem, Virtusa, etc.

NIT Agartala

• 22 companies participated in the placement program.
• 188 students were placed.
• The recruiting companies include Accenture, IBM, McAfee, Google and Morgan Stanley.

NIT Meghalaya

• 80 companies participated in the placement program.
• 103 offers were made.
• Top Companies like Accenture, Wipro, Infosys, Bosch, Vedanta, Cortex, Sapient, Polaris and many more participated in the placement program of NIT Meghalaya.

Facilities 

NIT Manipur 

• They have 2 boys and 1 girls hostel with sports grounds, courts and healthcare facilities.
• The campus has a central library.
• It also consists of an ATM.

NIT Agartala

• The institute has a faculty of 239 members, 160 of them being PhD holders.
• There are 6 boys hostels and 2 girls hostels.
• The campus also includes a canteen, an ATM and a Bank. They also have necessary medical facilities.

NIT Meghalaya

• It has a 300 acres of campus area.
• They have a faculty of 93 members 85 of them being PhD holders.
• They have a central library, computer centres, state of art classrooms, healthcare and sports facilities.

Students pursuing ECE can work as Electronics Engineer, Field Test Engineer, Network Planning Engineer, Electronics and Communications Consultant, Research and Development Software Engineer. CSE will provide more scope due to the rapid development and growth of the corporate world and IT sectors. There is a constant demand for CSE graduates by many top companies.
