• Yes, SAC (Students Activity Center) has four wooden courts and a mat indoor court in Basra Hostel, as well as outdoor courts in both B.Tech and PG hostels. Although it is not a specialized space in the academic / hostel zone.
• The floor of SAC contains court markings and can be utilized as a shuttle badminton court.
• Space is allocated for use as a badminton court during specified hours.
• The ladies club building in the residential section features a dedicated shuttle court.

Other than Badminton, IIT Madras has other sports facilities as well, including a synthetic racetrack, a fantastic cricket ground, a tennis court, a swimming pool, a gym, and a hockey ground. Overall IIT Madras has a good reputation in sports activities.

I have a few friends from NIT Trichy and according to them, you will find almost all sorts of popular sports facilities on campus. The sports facilities available on campus are as follows.

• Volleyball and many more

You will find all facilities similar to central institutes at NIT Trichy. 

Yes, there is a huge playground inside the college campus. However, there is no original provision of maintenance of the field, leading the condition to deteriorate day by day. But, interested students still go on to play sports. 

Anyone can anytime on the ground. Particularly, there is no form of restrictions applied to playing sports on the ground, but it depends upon how a student manages both their classes and other similar activities while still finding time to go to the field.

The ground still acquires a better form during the initiation of the annual fest, also known as, Shauryotsava. Hope this clears your doubt. 

Vasavi College of Engineering, Hyderabad provides engineering as its professional course. Many of my school friends studied at Vasavi. According to them, the sports facilities here are really good.

• The college has a ground huge enough to be shared by cricketers and footballers. 
• There is a good basketball court and even two modest volleyball courts. 
• There is a room consisting of indoor games. It has table tennis with 3 tables, carrom board games as well as chess with more than 3 boards. 
• Students usually prefer playing outdoor games to sweat their stress out. 
• Indoor games are preferred only when the weather does not favor the outdoor game plans.
• An inter-branch sports competition including all sorts of games is held at the college annually under Cultural Fest of EUPHORIA. 
• Every branch has their own representatives participating in the sports competitions irrespective of their personal interests for winning for their branches. 
• It boosts one’s confidence to be able to uphold your branch’s name in front of the entire college.

Students are allowed to participate in sports fest of other colleges as well. One has to do some real convincing for the attendance from the sports teacher, HOD and the Principal.

One of my friends completed her diploma from NTTF Dharwad. He gave me some information about the sports meets and the annual schedule for all the centers of NTTF. A sports meet is held every year in the centers. The Kreeda and Kala Sangam take place alternatively. All the NTTF centers participate and represent their centers. Students have a good time participating in these events.

The sports level is only up to the NTTF and it will not take you to the national level. So if you are looking for sports meets then, unfortunately, you will have to look for other institutions.

Starting things off, first, let me tell you that IIIT Bhopal does not have its own campus or hostels. If you are looking for sports competitions, this will probably not be as abundant. There is however a sports period each week with all the sports facilities.

This started out as an initiative by students in lieu of a cricket tournament held amongst them. But, not much is related to sports even then.

The scene definitely has changed a little. Seniors organize fresher’s parties for the new batch, quiz competitions as well as gaming competitions.

In 2019, students had even asked to hold an inter IIIT sports in IIIT Allahabad. Many students bought sports kits to participate in this meet.

Frankly, you should know that the college is quite new. So it will take time for things to get better. As directors are assigned, things will start to change for the better. You will have to keep some patience.

Amity University Gwalior provides students an excellent chance to avail several sporting facilities. The university is equipped with one of the best outdoor basketball courts in both Gwalior and Madhya Pradesh. It also has a football ground, volleyball ground, lawn tennis courts, cricket nets, badminton courts, among many others. The plus point is that they all are greatly built, and developed. 

Amity University, Gwalior also avails its students an indoor sports complex, both on the campus and in the hostel. The university is known to organize “Sangathan” every individual year, which basically is a sports fest that permits students to participate in various forms of sports and competes against each other on grounds of the same.

• The boys regularly play, especially the hostel residents in the evening after they finish their classes daily.
• The University annually organizes the Annual Sports Meet event to encourage sports among students.
• Various other sports competitions are held of carom, badminton, table tennis during the week-long Fest.
• Students of all departments take part in different sports like Shot Put, Relay Race, Long Jump, and Tug of War, etc.

So, if you join this college it will be exceptionally fun for you. It will be an exciting experience in your college life.

IIT Bhubaneswar is transferred to its permanent campus sometimes back. Most of the laboratory facilities for the UnderGraduate (UG) Programme are efficiently equipped as well as fully functional by now. Every school has its own laboratories that they can access.

If we talk about the Sports facilities, they are yet in a developing stage which is rather disappointing for many of the students. Apart from these facilities, other functional facilities include a gym, volleyball court, basketball court, and badminton court (both in Mahanadi [B] and Subarnarekha [G] hostels). Although, there are also temporary grounds for football, cricket, and athletics. 

For all the non-functional facilities, the college is taking measures to make them functional soon so that the students can engage in extracurricular activities along with academics.
