BHU offers an enviable hostel life. The hostels are within walking distance from class, library, hospital, playground, gym, and pool. There are 24*7 WiFi facilities available on campus. BHU hostel fees are nominal. Students are required to pay around INR 4500 per year.
Many events and festivals are celebrated in the hostel. What makes the BHU hostel experience more special is the people. You will get to share your experience with people from different social backgrounds. Memories of arranging events together, the adrenaline rush of the night before examination, 2 am walks on the campus, you will get to make many such unforgettable memories.
BITS Pilani Hyderabad has decently constructed hostels with all basic amenities. The majority of students get single rooms while BTech first-year students get double occupancy rooms sometimes.
Adequate cleanliness is maintained and washrooms have hygienic conditions. You will find muddy water because of the recycling water system. As for the drinking water, you will get both hot and cold drinking water.
A typical room inside the BITS Pilani Hyderabad hostel comprises basic commodities such as a bed, a chair, a table, a whiteboard, a big cupboard, and storage space. Students get access to 2 charging points one near their bed and the other news to their study table in addition to one LAN port. BITS Pilani hostels are not air-conditioned but you will adapt yourself to the heat pretty soon. For reference, I am attaching a picture of my friend's room in the Ganga Bhavan hostel.

IIT Bombay offers 17 hostels in total for students. Every hostel is a distinct entity with its own common areas, washrooms, etc. Basic amenities include:
The hostels always have a tonne of events going on, which makes life enjoyable here away from home. All year long, there are numerous intra- and inter-hostel competitions/events based on sports and culture activities. In addition, a number of festivals including Janmashtami, Lohri, Holi, Ganesh Chaturthi, Dussehra, Diwali, etc. are observed at the hostels. If you are planning to pursue your higher studies at IIT Madras, you can expect a great hostel life experience. Here are some of the excellent facilities:
The lush green cover of the campus is one of the highlights of IIT Madras. It boasts of having one of the best infrastructures which is a mix of traditional and modern elements. The classrooms and labs are quite cozy and modern, except for a few which are non-AC. You will be taught the latest teaching methodology and techniques. The institute has over 100 well-equipped laboratories and 23 Research Centres of Excellence.
NIT Agartala is quite old and was established in 1965 as Tripura Engineering College. As a student of this institution, here are my honest reviews of it-
Overall, NIT Agartala is a good college with low placements. Based on this information, you can decide whether or not to opt for it.
NIT Agartala is a decent option in terms of academics, hostel, facilities, studies, and placements. Academics are decent. But there aren’t many chances for research. Professors are well-experienced and supportive but most of the time you need to depend on self-study.
Being a Central Govt. college, NITA offers good facilities. The departmental library, workshops, and laboratories are well-equipped. It offers virtual class facilities. ISRO has an innovation incubation center on the campus of NITA.
The institute has a decent placement record. According to the recent highlights of NIT Agartala placements, the highest and average CTC offered was INR 36 LPA, and 5 LPA, respectively.
No, it’s prohibited to install ACs or even coolers in BITS Pilani hostels. There are 2 main reasons for this. Firstly ACs will cost very much and the electricity bills will be high. Secondly, it will be very difficult to provide ACs for around 3000 students inside the campus.
Honestly, you will get used to the heat after the initial struggle and will not even find the lack of ACs a big issue.
IIT Delhi has a total of 18 hostels for men, and 2 hostels for women. Each hostel is equipped with basic amenities such as a common room, a reading room, and mess hall. The hostels also have 24-hour security and medical facilities. Additionally, the hostels have a common room, an indoor games room, and a gym.
The buildings are old given the time they were built, yet the facilities are decent. First-year students are allotted triple occupancy rooms while some are allotted double. This depends on the hostel you are assigned as each hostel has different maps and infrastructure. A typical room in an IIT Delhi has:
All these basic amenities make students stay comfortable. After all, hostel life is all about making memories and new friends.
The general answer is yes. AIIMS hostels do provide separate rooms for students. But this does not apply to every AIIMS.
For example, AIIMS Delhi and AIIMS Raebareli provide separate rooms but AIIMS Raipur doesn’t. The 1st year students have to share rooms with 3-4 other students.
So it all depends on which AIIMS hostel you are in.
