KLE Technological University is affiliated to Visvesvaraya Technological University and is also recognized by the All Indian Council for Technical Education and University Grants Commission. Applications for admission to the college are done online. The college was ranked 151st by NIRF Rankings in the Overall Category. 

Nitte Mahalinga Adyanthaya Memorial Institute of Technology (NMAMIT) has been accredited grade ‘A’ by NAAC. The institute has been ranked 73rd in the category of Engineering by The Week 2019. The course has also been ranked 127th and 128th by India Today and NIRF rankings respectively.

KLE

• The basic eligibility criteria for Computer Science Engineering at the institute is having passed 10+2 examinations with PCM. 
• Selection of candidates is based on scores obtained in any of the following entrance exams: JEE, Karnataka CET, or COMEDK UGET which is followed by counseling. 
• There are 300 seats available for this course.

NMAMIT

• The basic eligibility criteria for Computer Science Engineering at the institute is having scored 50% in 10+2 examinations and having scored a minimum of 45% in Maths and Physics. 
• Selection of candidates is based on the score obtained in Karnataka CET or COMEDK UGET which is followed by counseling. 
• There are 180 seats available for this course.

• The college is built over a massive 64-acre campus and is home to a huge library that has well-maintained resources such as educational books, study material, and various other e-resources. 
• The college has separate boys and girls hostel located on-campus. Sports facilities such as cricket ground, basketball court, and volleyball court are available. 
• The college is also home to a number of laboratories for engineering students. 

NMAMIT:

• The college is built over a massive 100-acre campus with a well-equipped library on-campus which houses both books and e-learning facilities. 
• The institute provides separate hostels for boys and girls. 
• The college boasts of having a large number of laboratories dedicated to the course. 
• Other facilities such as a gym, sports complex, cafeterias, medical facilities, Wi-Fi, convenience store, and auditoriums are provided.

KLE: 

• The course has a placement rate of 80%.
• Top recruiters at the college are Amazon, Microsoft, Samsung, Infosys and SAP Labs. 
• The median salary offered is 4LPA, while the average salary package offered is approximately 4.5LPA.

Both colleges stand toe-to-toe with one another in terms of all major parameters. Better infrastructure and facilities further boost NMAMIT against KLE. The placements at the institutions are similar, while KLE takes a slight edge with their highest package being much greater than NMAMIT. A decision between the two colleges would likely be dependent on the weight given to each parameter by the student.

KLE Technology University is one of the best private colleges in Hubli. NIRF ranked it 151 in the category of best engineering colleges of India. It has a total of 3500 undergraduates and 120 postgraduate students. KLE offers 18 courses across 4 streams. It has a limited number of seats and a campus area of 64 acres. It is recognized by both UGC and AICTE and affiliated to Visvesvaraya Technological University. There is an intake of 1200 vacant seats in B. Tech.

For changing the branch at KLE Technological University, there are two options.

• If you are allotted the ECE branch in first counselling, then you can apply for CSE in second or third counselling. If you have allotted ECE branch in second counselling, you can do the same procedure in the third round also. It is completely valid and acceptable to change the branches if you are not happy with the branch you have got.

• If you are in the first year and you want to change the branch for any of the reasons, then you only have one chance and one way and that is to score good enough. Scoring more than 8.5 CGPA is the only way in which you can change your branch in the first year. There should be no backlogs in the first year if you want to change branches.

These are the only options through which one can appear for changing the branches. These procedures work only if there are vacant seats in the CSE branch.

KLE Technological University, formerly known as Bhoomaraddi College of Engineering & Technology is a private university recognized by UGC and AICTE. The University is affiliated with the Technical University of Visvesvaraya and is ranked 136 for BTech by NIRF 2020.

Admission:

• For admission into B.E ECE, students must pass 10+2 with PCM as compulsory subjects and must appear for KCET/MH-CET/COMEDK/ JEE entrance exam.

• The recruited cutoff for BE ECE at KLE Tech is around 7640 (KCET) according to the recent year’s statistics.

• 1st-year fees for the B.E ECE program at KLE Tech is 15,000(INR).

Course Curriculum

The B.E in ECE is divided into 4 years or 8 semesters.

• The first year emphasizes basic engineering such as Engineering Mechanics, Engineering Physics, Basic Electronics, and more.

• Second-year inches closer to electronics and electronic lab practicals.

• The third-year includes subjects like Digital Communications, Machine Learning along with one elective subject. Students are required to undergo one Mini & Minor Project in the 5th and 6th semesters respectively.

• In the last year, students are required to do an internship and undergo a project under a given supervisor.

Placement: About 90% of the students were placed as revealed by last year’s placement statistics. The major recruiters were Sap Labs, Toshiba, Cypress, Rober Bosch, KPIT, Continental, etc.

From the 2019 and 2018 batch of ECE, 210 and 123 students were placed respectively.

• KLE Tech’s aeroKLE’s SAE Team has secured All India 1st Rank in SAEISS Aero Design Challenge for the second time in a row.

• KLE Tech collaborated with Robert Bosch for project work in the field of Automotive & Autonomous vehicles.

The B.E in ECE at KLE Technological University is quite good with a decent placement rate.

Among the given options, SIT Tumkur is definitely a better option. It offers better placement and exposure as compared to RNSIT and KLE.

KLE isn't ideal when it comes to its location, therefore, I would advise you to not choose it. Since it is located far away from the main city within Bangalore, it gets pretty inconvenient for the companies to show up for placements. This gravely affects the placement scenario. You would as well be devoid of opportunities like off-campus placements, startups, or even as mentioned, transportation.

If you are a North Indian, never choose a college that is located at a far-away destination from Bangalore because of how inconvenient things would get because of the transportation factor.

However, if we talk about SIT Tumkur, the location of that institute is ideal since Bangalore is not that far from it. It is around 80 km away, which boosts the placement stats along with the ranking of that particular institute.

RNSIT is in Bangalore but it is not as good as SIT Tumkur.

KLE Technological University is a private and autonomous engineering college in Hubli ranked 151 among top engineering colleges in NIRF 2019 rankings.

The overall placement rate of the college is about 100%. In the academic year of 2019-2020, out of 120 students, 109 students were placed. The training and placement cell of the Institution organizes training and mock tests to help the students get ready.
