Step 1: Students must visit www.npat.in to register for the NPAT Entrance test.

Step 2: The students must complete the Registration process by filling in the Branding & Advertising School form.

Step 3: The final selection is done on the basis of NPAT score. Students will be called for a school-level entrance which will be comprised of the following

• Divergent Thinking Test
• Personal Interaction

Eligibility Criteria:

The candidate must have passed 10+2 or its equivalent with a minimum 50% aggregate marks.

MIT ID is a different University than MIT WPU. This difference is reflected in the different course structures of their B.Des program. This course structure is available on the website of each University.

• • BA(Political Science/Public Administration/Sociology…etc.) is a theoretical course where there is minimal exposure given to students towards practical aspects of functioning of government, active participation in policy making and research or preparation for UPSC competitive examination.
  • The BA Honours (Govt Admn) degree program focuses on the experiential, facilitative and case study method of learning whereby the students are exposed to a participative mode of learning.
  • The highlights are –
  1. Interaction with Eminent Bureaucrats, Political Leaders, Social Activists, Academicians, Media persons and Legal Practitioners.
  2. Practical inputs will be in the form of a lot of field assignments like - projects on social causes.

• Graduates from any of the disciplines – Sciences, Social sciences, humanities, arts, Engineering, Medicine, Dentistry, pharmacy, Law, media and communications and others can apply for the program. Students who have appeared in their final year of a degree program from any faculty of a recognised University are eligible to apply for the program. The experience of candidates in working with the health, social sector, civil society institutions, in livelihood programs, on policy advocacy, project planning and monitoring will be given due weightage
• Besides, working mid-career professionals from Government, Industry, Civil Society Organizations, National and International NGOs, bilateral agencies and others also are encouraged to apply depending on the time they can spare. This course is very demanding, and the working professionals must have the option of getting leave for the study period or getting relieved to attend lectures and fieldwork.
• Students from India and abroad can apply.

Preference will be given to students who have already gained some experience while working with any health or social sector projects or any other development projects involving rural, urban or semi-urban areas in collaboration with any local organizations, Non-Governmental Organizations (NGOs), and Community Based Organizations (CBOs)

IIT Bhubaneswar witnessed 90% placement in 2019 at the end of the academic session. Around 89 companies visited the campus with the average salary offered was 11.45 LPA.

The placements of electrical and mechanical engineering from IIT Bhubaneswar were 86% and 83% respectively. The top recruiting companies that visited IIT Bhubaneswar in 2019 were Capgemini, DELL, Honeywell, L&T construction, TATA Steel, etc.

In general, Mechanical engineering (ME) is a more versatile course than other engineering courses. Mechanical Engineers are hired in corporate managerial positions. On the other hand, Electrical engineering (EE) can deflect their career towards software development and programming.

Both of these branches are excellent choices to opt from IIT Bhubaneswar where the placements record is quite good. So, pick the course you are interested in.

IIT Bhubaneswar ranks 17th in the Engineering category by NIRF 2019 and BITS Hyderabad ranks 39th in the same category by NIRF 2019.

IIT Bhubaneswar has a dedicated placement cell, a total of 120 students were placed with the CSE department observing placement percentage of 100%. The undergraduate placement recorded 90% offers. The Electrical Engineering department has seen 86% placement in the year 2019. With an average salary package of 11 lakhs per annum for big companies like TATA Steel, TATA Advance System, Thermax, INTEL technology, etc.

BITS Hyderabad has a placement cell to groom students for interviews, etc. The CS department has been offered 16 lakhs per annum by companies like Microsoft, Adobe, etc.

You can opt for CS in BITS Hyderabad than opting for EE at IIT Hyderabad because computer science in BITS Hyderabad will open many scopes and are offered with a better salary package than Electrical Engineering from IIT Bhubaneswar.
