What is your review about CL and IMS at kolkata for CAT?
One of my friends studied at IMS Kolkata so I am aware of it. At that time he was doing a job and simultaneously doing a course at IMS. However, he did not perform well in DI/LR with the pressure of his job. And get a call from CAP, IIMs, MDI, IIT Delhi, FMS, IIT Madra, VG SOM, IMT G.

What makes IIM Shillong special?
At IIM Shillong, participants are exposed to a course on sustainability in their first year. The importance of ethics is emphasized in the curriculum, and speakers who visit the university often highlight the values of their companies. In interviews, students may be asked about their personal values as individuals. The institute believes that a person's character and kind deeds are more important than their words and that life is measured by the moments that take our breath away. Overall, IIM Shillong aims to not only produce skilled managers but also well-rounded individuals with strong values.
What is your review of Faculty Of IIT Mandi?
I have gone through the faculty profile given on the official website of IIT Mandi. It looks similar to that of all newly established IITs, except for IIT Gn and IIT H, which are better than the others.
One of my friends is also a student of the Mechanical branch at IIT Mandi. Most of the faculty members in the Mechanical branch are married couples. One of them got a job here and after that, they recommended their spouses.
In terms of research, the branch is not that good. Most of the faculties just mug up a research paper and publish a new one. One of the faculties became associate by doing the same. If you want to pursue higher studies in Mechanical, then don’t choose IIT Mandi.
What are the reviews of Krea University?
One of my friends is from Krea University. According to him and after doing some research online I gathered the following things.
- Krea University is the embodiment of exclusive and exceptional education.
- The academic structure is formulated in a way that helps students not only in their curriculum but also prepares them for the outer world.
- The faculty here is highly experienced and holds expertise in their field of study.
- The campus has several co-curriculums and clubs as well for football, basketball, badminton, cricket, volleyball, etc.
- The campus at Krea houses a salon, café, open-air theatre, media lab with V. R. Technology, medical dispensary, laundry service, atm machine, a science lab with modern facilities being installed.
- Krea University does not only claim to offer exceptional academics and career opportunities to students but makes it evident as well.
Based on the family income of the students, Krea University offers financial aid to support them. They have initiated a work-study program as well. The campus has a great serene environment creating a calm, positive atmosphere all over the campus.
Are the IIMs at Ahmedabad Bangalore and Calcutta equally good, especially regarding placements?
Each of these IIMs has developed its unique personality over the years, and each one has its own strengths and weaknesses.
IIMB intakes people with good and relevant work experience, IIMA seeks a good academic record and a bit of humbleness in a candidate, and IIMC looks for strong analytical skills (it has the highest CAT cutoffs).
During placements, companies that want experienced professionals prefer IIMB, IIMA is visited by companies because of its strong alumni list, and IIMC is preferred by the Banking Sector because of the perception that its students are more quantitatively oriented.
The three of them receive almost the same companies during placements. So for a candidate seeking good career opportunities in a certain field, all three IIMs are equally good. It is just that each one has a certain image associated with its brand, and ranks accordingly in the preference lists of recruiters.
What is your honest review of IIM Lucknow?
My honest review of IIM Lucknow is that no matter what gibberish you hear about it, it’s one of the best B Schools out there. The outstanding balance of ambiance, infrastructure, library, faculty, and a student-gender ratio ensures that you focus on your goals and studies completely.
My friend recently passed out from this institute and says that she has learned a lot from it. It has taught her to stay tight on her goals and not complain about tiny things. It has taught her to have realistic expectations and goals and how to achieve them.
The deadlines and rigor keep you on your toes and helps you acquire amazing time-management and pressure-handling skills.
Also, the batch at IIM Lucknow is very interactive and friendly so you won’t feel left out and end up making some friends for life.
What should be my choice between AIIMS Bhubaneswar AIIMS Jodhpur AIIMS Raipur AIIMS Rishikesh?
All of these AIIMS are on equal levels with one another. Infrastructure, faculty, and facilities are remarkably similar, so don't undercut any of them. So, excluding these, make your decision based on personal factors.
Remember that it is a common misconception that Raipur is unsafe and least developed. AIIMS Raipur is a wonderful institute that none of you regret attending. They have also achieved some outstanding results in PG. So give it some thought and join any of the institutes you want.
