AIIMS doesn’t publish the marks of candidates who have passed the examination. Instead, it releases the percentile of each candidate and assigns ranks based on those percentiles. So, it’s practically impossible to know with 100% certainty the marks needed to secure a seat.

However, you can get a rough idea by reaching out to those who have secured a seat at AIIMS. Based on my experience, I secured AIR 19 in AIIMS, so I can provide some insight.

I attempted 181 questions out of 200, and based on my performance in mock tests, I estimate a negative marking of around 15–20 questions at most. This means I scored approximately 160 marks, which earned me the 19th rank.

In my opinion, depending on the difficulty of the paper, a score above 150 would most likely ensure a seat at AIIMS Delhi if you belong to the general category.

Starting salary:

• Group A salary: 68,000 - 76,000 INR
• Group B salary: 63,000 - 68,000 INR

Details:

• Starting Basic: 44,900 INR
• DA: 17% of 44,900 = 7,633 INR (for X class cities like Delhi, Mumbai, etc.)
• Nursing Allowance: 7,200 INR
• Washing Allowance: 1,800 INR
• Transport Allowance (in X class cities): 3,600 + DA = 4,212 INR (DA 17% as of Dec 2019)

Total Salary:
44,900 + 7,633 + 7,200 + 1,800 + 4,212 = 76,521 INR/month. This amounts to 918,252 INR per annum.

Additionally, the government contributes 10% of Basic + DA (i.e., 5,253 INR at current rates) to your NPS Tier 1 Account. This adds another 63,036 INR to your CTC.

You also receive tuition fee reimbursement of 54,000 INR per annum for 2 kids. Plus, there’s a bonus amount of 6,774 INR (ad hoc bonus) or up to 23,000 INR (PLB bonus) once a year.

Moreover, DA increases twice a year, six months apart, as announced by the government, along with an increment of approximately 3% of the Basic salary annually.

CTC is then approximately:
918,252 + 63,036 + 54,000 + 6,774 = 1,042,062 INR.

Additionally, you will receive hometown tickets for your family for the first 3 years and all-India tickets in the 4th year in a block of 4 years. This continues for a total of 8 years for a fresh recruit.

MBBS is a fundamental degree in Medicine. Nowadays, everyone is aiming for a PG—MD, MS, etc.—for a better income. Here are some key points:

• There is no campus placement in most medical colleges in India.
• MBBS graduates are referred to as Junior Doctors.
• They can find jobs in private hospitals or government hospitals (through PSC).

It's advisable to clear the PG entrance and pursue MD or MS or specializations like Cardiology or Gynecology, which are lucrative fields!

The total fees for the B.Sc in Operation Theatre Technology at AIIMS Delhi is super low! It's around 500 rupees for the entire 4-year course, which is just amazing compared to other colleges. Plus, the hostel fees are only 20 rupees a month, and you get a refund on the security deposit. Honestly, it's a steal for such a prestigious institute!

You earn a B.Sc Nursing Honours degree at AIIMS Delhi! If you get admission in a top-tier AIIMS, you benefit from: Excellent teachers, Great exposure, and Opportunities to work and learn under experienced, top doctors. To secure a job at AIIMS, you must clear the NORCET exam for nursing officer.

As a B.Sc (Nursing) student at AIIMS Delhi, I’ve found the experience to be quite rewarding. The faculty is really supportive, and even though our class has around 100 students, they manage to address our doubts effectively. Internships are included in the curriculum, and we get to work in the hospital, which is a big plus. The pay during the internship is around Rs 13,000, which helps a lot as the fees are super low, only about Rs 3,165 for the entire year! The placement opportunities look promising too, especially with the NORCET exam at the end that opens doors to becoming a nursing officer in the government.

Studying MBBS at AIIMS Delhi is a dream come true! The curriculum is super focused on practical skills, and by the time we reach our internships in the fifth year, we get hands-on experience with advanced medical equipment. Plus, the stipend of ?30,000 during our internship is one of the highest in the country. The campus life is vibrant, especially with events like the med fest "Pulse." As for placements in 2026, I'm optimistic because AIIMS has such a stellar reputation in the medical field, and I'm sure many of us will get placed in top hospitals.

B.Sc in Nursing, or Bachelor of Science in Nursing, is an undergraduate course that medical aspirants can pursue at various B.Sc Nursing colleges in India. This program is typically a 4-year undergraduate degree for students who have completed Class 12 in the science stream.

In India, a standardized curriculum has been developed by experts, which is followed by both government and private institutions offering the B.Sc Nursing course. The program is designed to train and qualify graduates to practice nursing in diverse settings. Through this course, candidates can embark on a career as a Nurse.

The course is super prestigious and gives you in-depth knowledge about anaesthesia and surgery, which is essential for patient care. The internship is paid, around ?14,000 per month, which is great for students. If you qualify for the job exam after the internship, you can get a permanent job with a salary of about ?60,000 per month. The fees are ridiculously low too—just ?500 for four years! I’m really excited about the placement opportunities for 2025/26!
