I am a final year B.Tech student at IIT KGP. Here is the official data released by the institution on the 2023 placement drive-

• The 2023 batch placement drive at IIT KGP concluded with 1600 offers, out of which, 45 were international offers. 
• The highest package offered during the 2023 placement drive was INR 2.6 CPA.
• The MBA placement 2023 had the highest CTC reaching INR 43.37 LPA, an average CTC of INR 22.13 LPA.

Placement 2023 Statistics for IIT Kharagpur:

Top recruiting companies participated in the placement drive, including Apple, Airbus, CapitalOne, EXL Services, Google, Microsoft, Square Point, Rubrik, McKinsey, Quantbox, TSM, Da Vinci, DE Shaw and others.

The IIT Kharagpur LLM placements are quite good and most graduates find jobs in the Intellectual Property (IP) sector. The LLM placement report for 2024 hasn’t been released yet. 

According to the NIRF 2022 report, the median salary offered to LLM graduates was around INR 12 LPA.

The placement figures for 2024 have been released by IITM. During the 2024 placement season at IIT Madras, the final year MBA batch achieved 100% placement. The highest package offered was INR 29.65 LPA, and the average package was INR 16.93 LPA during 2024 placement at IITM.

IIT Kharagpur is one of the prominent and oldest IITs in India providing quality education in various disciplines. It lays a strong emphasis on the practical learning of its students and every year conducts summer internships to facilitate the same.

In 2023, the average salary was around INR 43.37 LPA per annum, while the highest domestic placement package reached INR 30 lakh per annum. Major recruiters include IBM, Puma, Capgemini, Deloitte, EY, ICICI Bank, Cognizant, Aditya Birla Group, Lenovo, and more were the recruiting participants.

In the 2023 placement season, IIT Kharagpur reported its highest package as approximately INR 2.68 crore per annum, offered by top multinational companies.

The overall average placement package at IIT Kharagpur is around INR 25 Lakhs per annum, but it varies across different programs and years. Here's the lowdown:

1. Undergraduate (B.Tech) Programs:
   1. In 2022, graduates from a four-year B.Tech course were sitting on an average salary of INR 18,75,000 per year.
2. M.Tech Programs:
   1. During Phase 1 placements, M.Tech grads were cashing in at around INR 50 lakhs per year. In earlier years though, they were pocketing around INR 40.91 lakhs in 2021 and INR 45.43 lakhs in 2022.
3. MBA Programs:
   1. The top earner from the MBA having an overall INR 37.07 lakhs package! On average though, MBA peeps were scoring around ?20.83 lakhs during the final placement report for 2024.

The average packages range from ?28 LPA to ?60.75 LPA across these prestigious institutions.
