Having a few friends studying in both of these institutes, I can provide you with some details based on my interaction with them. IIIT Guwahati and NIT Silchar are both institutes of national importance. The NIRF Ranking for Engineering 2020 is 66 and 46 respectively.

The faculty of NITS has a rich experience. Out of 209 faculty members, 195 are Ph.D. holders. Overall, NITS is a better choice for ECE.
NIT Trichy would be a better choice than IIT Bhubaneswar for Metallurgy because of the following reasons.
The ECE branch of IIT Bhubaneswar was started recently and despite that, it has been able to achieve good statistics. IIT Bhubaneswar placements for the EC branch both for BTech and MTech have been tabulated below

Both of the colleges have their own specialties. It depends on your purpose for doing any of the mentioned courses. One of my friends graduated from DTU and he mentioned a few points about the same which may be helpful for you-
| Categories | Engineering Physics at DTU | ECE at IIIT Una |
| Course Fee | 7.81 lakh | 8.16 lakh |
| Highest CTC | 15-16 LPA | 16 LPA |
| Average CTC | 8-9 LPA | 8 LPA |
| Recruiting Companies | Optum, Tech Mahindra, TCS, IBM, etc. | Google, Microsoft, Accenture, Capgemini, etc. |
Hence, it is up to you what is your purpose behind taking a course, if it’s research, go for engineering physics and if it’s about taking a decent job in the field of Electronics, then go for IIIT Una.
Opt for any of these branches only if you are really interested in either of these branches or if you have plans of pursuing post-graduation in either of the subjects.
The reason behind this lies in whether you will be treating your technical graduation degree just as a simple graduation degree or are you really looking for it. If it is just going to be a simple graduation degree just like in campus placements, government job preparations, MBA entrance preparations, GRE preparations, etc., then it is not worth going for, because there is too much work in these branches.
If this is the case, choose any of the branches from CSE, IT, EI, and Civil Engineering. It will help you in saving a lot of time and hence, prepare well for entrances. Also, you can fully enjoy your college life.
Vishwakarma Institute of Information Technology(VIIT) is an autonomous institute affiliated to Savitribai Phule Pune University. The institute is accredited by the NAAC with an “A” grade. Pune Institute of Computer Technology is a private institute and affiliated to SPPU, Pune.
Admission Procedure-
VIIT and PICT take admission to BE courses based on the performance of the students in JEE Mains and MHT-CET.
In 2019 the JEE Main closing cutoff for CSE at VIIT was 2443-2648.
In 2019 the JEE Main closing cutoff for Electronics and Telecom Engineering was 1590-1676.
Course Fee- The fees for the CSE at VIIT is 6.75 lakhs for a period of 4 years. Whereas the fees for E&TC at PICT Pune are 3.86 Lakhs for a period of 4 years.
Facilities-
VIIT: The college has a 7-acre campus with a number of facilities such as a digital library, off-campus hostel, cafeterias, sports facilities, and laboratories for each course. The college also provides shuttle service to students and an on-campus convenience store.
PICT: The college is built over a 5-acre campus and has standard facilities such as Wi-FI, library, laboratories, and hostels.
Placements
VIIT: Companies such as Cognizant, Infosys, and L&T visit the campus for E&TC placements. The placement package ranges for the course from 2.4 LPA to 15 LPA.
PICT: E&TC has a placement rate of 70%. Companies such as IBM and Capgemini come for placements. The placement package offered for E&TC varies from 3 LPA to 8 LPA.
CSE and E&TC are very different as a course. You should choose the course you are more passionate about and the college according to that.
As an IIT Bhubaneswar student, I can vouch for civil engineering at IIT Bhubaneswar. I can share some insights about the institution.

A few of my friends are pursuing CSE at Amrita University and here are some tips according to their experience -
Considering many reviews that Amrita University is not up to the mark, it is suggested to drop one year and prepare well so that you can get a good seat at NIT at least.
You can try BITSAT as well. But don’t spoil your future by going into any college, which you will regret throughout your life.
| Categories | ECE at VIT | CSE at Amrita University |
| Course Fee | 7.83 lakh | 13.10 lakh |
| Highest CTC | 21 LPA | 25 LPA |
| Average CTC | 5 LPA | 4.8 LPA |
| Recruiting Companies | Infosys, Byju’s, Capgemini, Oracle, etc. | Wipro, TCS, Dell, HCL, etc. |
However, make the right choice. It is suggested you opt for better colleges and drop out and prepare for the exams this year. So that there will be a chance of getting into a better college.
NIT Uttarakhand ECE is definitely a better choice than IIIT Bhopal ECE. NIT UK is a well-established institute with good placement records, while IIIT Bhopal was established just a few years back.
NIT Uttarakhand has the following advantages over IIIT Bhopal.
If you are okay going to a fairly new institute, then you can go for IIIT Bhopal. But if you want a convenient college life then choosing NIT UK will be better.
It is suggested that you choose the institute that is in close proximity to your location, since both the institutes are rather tier-3 Indian Engineering Colleges.
In any case, nobody can apparently have access to the actual placement report of either institute because most of them generally spike their records for unjust purposes. Yet, here is a detailed placement statistics, as is claimed by the institutes in general.
| Categories | Goa Engineering College | NIT, Goa |
| Highest Salary package | INR. 12 LPA | INR. 15.9 LPA |
| Average Salary Package | INR. 4 LPA | INR. 7.35 LPA |
| Top Recruiting Companies | Siemens, Crompton, TCS, Accenture, Spark+, Impact Analytics | Samsung R&D, HFCL, Saankhya labs, Unisys, ZS Associates, Impact Analytics |
Indian students generally should enroll at colleges near to their residence. And later start to impel the administration to offer basic amenities, if any missing, thereby gradually incrementing the possibility of them obtaining industry relevant skills. Your placements and overall college life has to provide you with the necessary facilities, only then you can grow as an individual.
