What is better to do M.Sc. from CFTRI Mysore or M.Tech from abroad?
An MSc. from CFTRI Mysore is considered to be one of the best for food technology in India. It has been the pioneer in providing quality education in food. But you need to keep in mind that it is a government institution. Therefore it has its own limitations, in terms of research, funds and several other things.
On the other hand if you choose to go abroad, your guide has full autonomy for the funds. They take the responsibility of spending the money and what projects to pursue or not. It is known that colleges abroad have better facilities and better working conditions. Indian institutes lack this although they have state of the art facilities but they are of no match for the colleges abroad.

Preparing for a government exam parallel with M.Sc Chemistry, is a bit tough. Here are some reasons as to why it could become difficult.
- You will have 4 days of lab class including physical, organic, inorganic and analytical lab.
- You will have assignments to write, records to be completed, and seminars you need to attend and prepare for.
- You will have to prepare for C-1 and C-2 internals.
- Try maintaining a proper schedule, plan your activities beforehand.
- If your classes become strict you will hardly get enough time to study during the day. But make time either early morning or late at night.
