Is the infrastucture of BITs Pilani, Pilani worst?
BITS Pilani has an overall ranking of 30 by NIRF organization in 2020. As far as I know from one of my friends studying there, BITS Pilani has quite a good Infrastructure and supports the best facilities.
- Compared to other BITS Pilani’s campuses, the chances are there that Pilani campus hostel rooms are not that great. But they are definitely better than those of many private / Govt. colleges.
- Pilani campus does provide single room assistance to students from 2nd year and some of 1st-year students.
- They have State of the Art infrastructure, fully air-conditioned classrooms, westernized washrooms, and nothing worth complaining about.
- The library is one of the best, as it is beautifully organized.
BITS Pilani campus is growing and developing each day, so it can offer the best to their students. Though everything else concerned it has a better infrastructure than a lot of colleges around that area.
What are some problems facing BITS, Pilani today, academic and otherwise? How do we find a solution?
According to my friend's personal experience, the biggest problem that is being faced in BITS, Pilani is that everyone has the same thinking and they go in that sync only. They want to be in one of the most prestigious engineering colleges just to get a decent CGPA, clear CGPA cut off for the placements, get a good placement and enjoy life afterward, which is pretty much boring.
All the students are not even aware of the various academic facilities that are being provided in the college. They aren't even aware of the fact that the library orders any book that a student desires through the library portal, which contains most of the famous journals including MIT Tech Review, Scientific American Harvard Business Review, and many others. The students focus more on salary rather than developing their overall personality and attitude towards the subjects they are studying.
My friend also feels that it will be better if the institute included some core subjects in the first year of the course instead of focusing on a generalized curriculum for all branches.
Some students also complain about the management and administration.
Which is better: EEE at BITS Pilani or CSE at BITS Hyderabad/Goa?
If you are interested in how the electrical system works including the power systems and electronics, you should opt for EEE at Bits Pilani. If you aim to become a software developer or are interested in algorithms, programming, machine learning and artificial intelligence, then you should opt for CSE at BITS Hyderabad/Goa.
In terms of placements, if you choose EEE, you can expect to get placed in telecommunications, automation, power generation and electronic manufacturing companies. When it comes to CSE, you can be recruited by software development companies, intelligence, data science, artificial intelligence companies, etc. The scope of CSE is better than EEE.
Both campuses have the same placement process and top companies visit both campuses. Both CSE AND EEE have bright prospects when it comes to career growth opportunities, so I would recommend you choose the one that you prefer more.
Is it possible to change from BITS Hyderabad to BITS Pilani?
- Once you get admitted to the Hyderabad campus, it is generally not possible to change to the other campuses of BITS Pilani.
- During your counselling, you will be given the chance to choose your preference for the campus and accordingly, the preference list is created.
- If you do not want to join any one of the campuses then leave it out during your counseling and only name your preferred campus.
- Usually, there are different rounds of counselling through which you will be given a seat at your preferred campus based on your marks and preference. You can accept it or put your name on the counselling list for the second round where you might be upgraded.
- As far as I am aware, BITS Pilani does not accept any request for campus change so you must decide during the counselling process only.
Which is better, BITS Pilani or MNIT Jaipur?
- BITS Pilani is considered to be one of the best engineering colleges in the country with excellent infrastructure, placement opportunities and experienced faculties.
- The vibrant campus life at BITS Pilani is also a major factor that many students will like.
- It also has a very strong alumni network that facilitates internship and placement opportunities for students in top firms.
- The placement rate at BITS Pilani is between 95% to 98% while at MNIT Jaipur it is around 70% to 80%.

- For students who obtain the chance to study at prestigious institutions like BITS, banks provide educational loans to students even at low-interest rates. You may use a bank's credit to study, and then once you graduate, you can pay back the bank.

When it comes to ECE, I would always suggest you to choose BITS Pilani. It is the top private college in India for pursuing engineering. It is even better than some of the new IITS, NITS and IIITs. Though IIIT Delhi is also a good choice for pursuing ECE, according to me, BITS Pilani will always be a superior choice.
The course curriculum at BITS Pilani has been designed to impart both theoretical and practical knowledge to the students. The ECE department of BITS Pilani is one of the oldest and most reputed. The faculty is well experienced and helpful. They will guide you through your journey of four years and encourage you to pursue your passions.
