As a university, DTU is nowhere near the top 3 NITs. It has gained popularity due to its prime location and the fact that many talented students choose to study there because it's in the national capital region.

Among the three NITs, Warangal and Trichy are advancing at an incredibly fast pace. Not much is known about Surathkal. Overall, these three universities are significantly better than DTU.

I would personally lean towards B.Tech Electrical and Electronics Engineering in NIT Warangal over B.Tech Production Engineering in NIT Trichy. While NIT Trichy has decent placements and a collaborative campus life, the curriculum for production engineering seems a bit less engaging, and the faculty's interest in teaching appears to be lacking. NIT Warangal, although I don't have as much specific data on placements, generally has a strong reputation in electrical engineering, which opens up more diverse career opportunities. Plus, if you're concerned about faculty engagement and a more practical approach to learning, NIT Warangal might be the better pick. If you have a genuine interest in electronics and electricals, I’d definitely recommend going for NIT Warangal.

Considering the fees and return on investment, B.Tech Civil Engineering in DTU seems to provide a more balanced financial choice compared to B.Tech Electronics & Communication Engineering in NIT Warangal. DTU's fees start at 2,19,000 and increase by 10,000 annually, while the placement offers are decent, with the highest package reaching 90,000 per month. NIT Warangal, while offering impressive placements with a maximum package of around 1.2 crore, also commands a higher fee structure that may not translate as effectively for civil engineering, which has fewer high-paying roles.

If you're inclined towards practical fieldwork and want a good ROI with manageable fees, DTU is a solid option; if you aim for tech-heavy roles and are okay with potentially higher fees, then NIT Warangal could be worth the investment.

In my opinion, it's better to choose Civil Engineering at MNNIT Allahabad over NIT Warangal. However, only opt for Civil if you have a genuine interest in this field. If your main focus is on placements, be prepared to work hard, as fewer companies visit for campus placements in the Civil stream. That said, MNNIT Allahabad has a strong placement record for Civil Engineering. Here are a few more reasons to consider Civil at MNNIT Allahabad:

• There is an extremely competitive environment for examinations like GATE, CAT, IES, UPSC, etc. This year has been exceptional for MNNITians, with AIR-1, AIR-2, and AIR-3 in GATE secured by students from MNNIT Allahabad.
• There's an opportunity to change branches in the first year if your CPI is above 7.5, allowing you to switch streams.
• You can expect good packages here.
• The labs are well-established and equipped.

If you’re leaning towards core engineering with a focus on traditional civil roles, MNNIT might be a better fit. But if you want to maximize your job prospects and are open to versatile career paths, NIT Warangal is the way to go.

If you're aiming for a high-paying tech job, NIT Warangal is the better choice, but if you're passionate about biotechnology and are okay with potentially lower pay, MNNIT could still be a solid option.

If you’re okay with pursuing Civil Engineering, then definitely consider NIT Warangal! A strong university name on your degree can enhance your profile significantly. It increases your chances of getting admitted to reputed universities in the USA.

However, if you’re uncertain about pursuing an MS abroad and want to secure good placements, then think about a local college. My suggestion is to opt for a decent NIT in a better branch. This approach serves two purposes: it gives you a central university tag and boosts your placement prospects!
