Which is a better place to study economics, Presidency University, Kolkata or BITS, Goa (or Hyderabad)?
Presidency University, Kolkata is a better to place to study economics than BITS, Goa, or Hyderabad. Presidency University, Kolkata is well known for its economics department. It also has an excellent subject record.
In the national ranking too Presidency University comes at the top. One of my cousins studies at Presidency University, Kolkata. And he vouches for the Economics degree provided by the institute.
Taking into consideration various factors like fees, faculty, it is safe to say Pracidency University is the better alternative.
But if you are looking for placement after graduation, then joining Presdancyi will not be a good idea. Although their Economics dept. Is well-renowned, they don’t offer placements after graduation. You will have better placement opportunities at BITS Goa.
Which is better, ECE at NIT Jalandhar or EEE at BITS Goa?
The better choice is undoubtedly EEE at BITS Goa than ECE at NIT Jalandhar.
NIT Jalandhar is still a developing institute whereas BITS Goa is a well-established institute that has got reputation all over the world. Most of the students have cracked competitive exams like GMAT, GRE, and UPSC, etc with a good rank.
You will interact with people who have appreciable knowledge and you will have healthy competition as BITS Goa don't have caste reservations.
Finally, if you can afford to join BITS then do it if not take a loan and don't worry about returns. You will get them in a year or maybe 2 years. Ultimately the choice is yours.
How are the placements at BITS Goa?
After 2 nd semester you are eligible for the placements. All the TIER 1 companies MAANG and every company you can think of . Our senior batch is placed like 90 % students are placed . Rest are in PS .
How are the professors in BITS Goa?
There is generally relative marking scheme like if the highest in class is (8/10) then he or she will get 10 cg. But some teachers starts from 8 only. There is no such faculties which I don't like because they all are highly qualified .They are very knowledgeable. But some faculties like AOS and Advanced Algo are strict so have to do accordingly.
How is the campus life at BITS Goa?
So first of all my college is in Goa . So you don't need to worry about social life. But still there are various number of events organised by the BITS community one of the biggest events is WAVES. Biggest artists in India come in this event.
How are the hostels at BITS Goa?
Single rooms are provided with a white board as well. the toilets are maintained with hygiene. Food is exceptionally good and it changes every month. There are apartments around the campus for rent. No PGs afaik
