How do I get my original Engineering Degree certificate from RGPV Bhopal? I Graduated in 2010 and I do not live in Bhopal or MP.

JA
Jeena Agarwal Posted On : October 31st, 2022
B-tech from Rajiv Gandhi Proudyogiki Vishwavidyalaya, Bhopal

The following is the procedure for obtaining an original degree from the University via offline mode:

  • Download and print the main degree form from the RGPV website's download forms section.

  • Fill out this form completely.

  • Make photocopies of all of the semester's grade sheets.

  • Visit your college and have your form, as well as all photocopies of your mark sheets, attested by the principal or head of the institution.

  • Bring all of the above documents, as well as the original mark sheets, to the RGPV office near Bhopal airport.

  • Write an application to the RGPV registrar, explaining why you need your degree as soon as possible.

  • Get your challan of 250 from the Union Bank of India, which is located just behind the university's building on campus.

  • Submit your attested degree form, attested mark sheets for all semesters, application for an urgent degree requirement, and Rs. 250 challan on the first floor. They will collect all of your documents, give you a student copy of the challan, and direct you to the second floor, where you will be asked to return in a week.

  • Return to campus and go to room 501, show them your student copy of the challan, and ask for your degree; they will give you your degree. They then request that you go to the registrar's office and have your degree verified.

  • If you want to travel abroad, you must go to the Ballabh Bhavan (Higher Education Department) for verification.

  • They give you a form, which you must fill out and submit photocopies of your class 10th, 12th, and 8th-semester mark sheets, as well as a photocopy of your passport's first and last page and a photocopy of your original degree front and back.

After having your documents verified here, you must go to the HRD ministry in Delhi before traveling abroad for the same verification process.

Is SIBM Bangalore worth considering?

PP

As a professional who was looking to give a push to his career, I had the same doubts regarding SIBM Bangalore when I made it to the first shortlist of every Symbiosis MBA college except for SIBM Pune.

I scored only 70 percentile in my CAT and 90 percentile in my CMAT which were not good enough scores to get me a seat in a Tier 1 or 2 college. Fortunately, my SNAP score (94 percentile) was good enough to get me a call from Symbiosis colleges, most of which were Tier 2 MBA colleges.

SIBM Bangalore may not have a big campus, but, it provides you with innumerable opportunities. As a SIBM Bangalore student, you will undergo great personality development. There are various co-curricular activities that you can be a part of.

You can join various clubs and committees or go for roles such as Bloomberg Champion or  Student Research Assistant. As a student, you will be at the center of all the college activities.

SIBM Bangalore is an amazing place to grow as a person and become even more confident and active in grabbing the opportunities that come your way.

How is BIT MESRA? Is it equal to IIT OR NIT?

AB
Akriti Banerjee Posted On : August 9th, 2023
lives in New Delhi

Honestly speaking, BIT Mesra is nowhere near the IITs and top NITs. It can however be compared to other NITs like  NIT Rourkela, Jamshedpur. Surat, etc.

The institute is known to have excellent campus facilities but the opportunities in core branches are limited. BIT Mesra is a brand name well-known among private colleges. It can be compared to the new IITs to a little extent and is even better than VIT and Manipal University. The only drawback is that getting a high GPA here is quite challenging.

Nevertheless, BIT Mesra is a decent choice for many if you consider the following points

  • It focuses on the holistic development of its students and hence has a number of clubs that help students pursue their passion alongside academics
  • BIT Mesra offers a plethora of opportunities and exposure to its students.
  • The institute is well-known for its excellent coding culture and thus attracts many IT companies during placements.
  • The Institute does not tolerate ragging in any form. There is a strong bond between the juniors and seniors.
  • The campus spreads across 780 acres and is surrounded by lush greenery.
  • The institute has an amazing placement record and last year the highest salary stood at INR 58.33 LPA while the average salary stood at INR 13.01 LPA

Ultimately, BIT Mesra is better than most NITs but not at par with IITs and a few top NIT.

Trying out new all the time

You must visit the "Office of the Controller of Examinations" (located at the Centre for Distance Education), which is close to the College of Engineering, Guindy, Anna University, Chennai.

There is a small office building where transcript applications are prepared. B ring a check payable to The Controller of Examinations, Anna University Chennai. You can take DD to the bank you have on the Anna University campus. The DD balance is INR 200. Take your TC, degree certificate, consolidated grade list, and provisional certificate, too. What advice would you give to a fresher at IIT Kharagpur?

AA
Aishwarya Anand Posted On : March 22nd, 2023
Ph. D. from Indian Institute of Technology, Kharagpur (IIT KGP)

Every person will have a different opinion on what advice work best for freshers. Instead of giving you a list of things to follow, I will suggest you just focus on 3 key points

  1. Maintain your academics: The primary focus should be your academics and staying at the top of your class. Don’t let your CGP fall below 8 throughout your life at KGP.
  2. Learn new things: This does not include just DC++, Counter-Strike, or FIFA. Explore new things such as workshops, society interviews, and sports, or take part in different inter-halls.
  3. Make friends: Surviving in an IIT can be much easier with the right set of friends. To interact with your hostel buddies and make new friends that will stay with you for the rest of your life.

Overall, you need a highly positive mindset before joining IIT. You need to be passionate about things and be ready to work hard and achieve them.

AD
Abhinav Dubey Posted On : February 15th, 2022
B.Tech from Indian Institute of Technology Varanasi (2022)

Yes, IIT BHU is better than IIT Indore in terms of infrastructure, alumni base, research exposure.

  • At IIT BHU, old departments like Mechanical, etc. have old machines and lab equipment. But departments like CSE, Mathematics have new buildings, computers, etc.
  • IIT BHU also has the advantage of a larger alumni network.
  • It offers marginally better placement opportunities in core branches.
  • The research culture is quite active on campus, especially for different fields of CSE like Machine Learning, Computer Vision, etc.
  • The faculty base of IIT BHU is good, similar to any other old IITs.

I have been allotted KMC Manipal but I can't get over the guilt that I did not get selected in a government medical college with many attempts being taken. How can I get over this?

BG
Bidita Ghose Posted On : September 30th, 2023

You must be feeling this way because of societal pressure. But KMC Manipal is an amazing college, and you’ll really like it here.

Some of my classmates left their AIIMS seats (not AIIMS Delhi though) to study at KMC Manipal. I agree that in comparison to government colleges, the fee at KMC Manipal is quite high (if you don’t get a scholarship). However, you’ll get all the top facilities in exchange for that. I know of successful medicos who graduated from this place.

AIIMS Delhi and KMC increase your chances of qualifying USMLE drastically. KMC Manipal has a favorable reputation in foreign universities. The faculty over here is quite good. The library, sports, and other facilities are all top-notch. Another good thing is the complete absence of reservations.

So you shouldn’t be disheartened because of all that you couldn’t get. Instead, make the most out of the opportunities available to you.
