The main disadvantage of pursuing a B.Com P instead of B.Com Hons is the syllabus. Delhi University B.Com Hons syllabus has a perfect blend of theory and practical subjects. You can also specialize in some subjects. B.Com Hons covers the subjects in more detail compared to B.Com P.
This is why recruiters prefer B.Com Hons students over B.Com P students. If you are planning on pursuing CA or CS, then pursuing B.Com (H) will be better.

I applied to , DU , christ university , symbiosis , nmims , st xaviers , podar college of commerce and lucknow university , iim indore , iim rohtak i got in all the colleges except for the iims The iims the paper was very difficult especially because i dont have a maths background so i didnt make the cutoff My college takes admission with a interview and 12th class board percentage
So the fees for my course is 15000 rs , and i am in the bcom public course that comes under nep , this is for one year of college meaning 2 semesters , the students in autonomous the fees ranges from 50k-1l per anum
The nep curriculumn is follwed and i honestly love it , the curriculumn is easy but challenging ,its fun to go around and we do a lot of practical application Since we do a lot of practical work i woukd say it does pretty well with the preperation , We have a language lab in the college and SIP along with a additional subject everyyear which teaches a lot The frequency is just perfect where it doesnt over burden us , we have 2 cias and one end sem the difficulty would be a 7-8 out of 10
The college does have a functioning placement cell .And many global MNCs like Accenture,Bain and Condo visit but they take only very few applicants. The rest are left to find jobs on their own. Many students choose to go for higher studies also.
I had applied for St Xavier's College, Kolkata,Mithibai,Jai Hind College and United Christian College.I got the merit list in all these colleges.I chose St Xavier's Mumbai above them because it has a good reputation and name in the course that I wanted compared to other colleges
The yearly tuition fees is 75,000 total. It is to be paid upfront at the beginning. There are not additional fees except for conducting exams. The registeration fees was 500 for BAF.No category separate fee structure as of my knowledge.
The curriculum goes in depth and is kind of hard.Exams happen frequently that is every month we will have exams one way or the other. There are two CIA s(internal exam) before the final end semester exams. The question pattern is hard and difficult.
