I would advise you to not opt for NEIGRIHMS if you plan to pursue your residency in the US. It is better to look for other colleges if you are seeking admission through NEET. You can join a USMLE coaching during your MBBS degree itself. At some other college, you’ll be exposed to students who have cleared their USMLE. Almost negligible MBBS students from NEIGRIHMS apply for/ clear USMLE. The college is in a budding state, so the faculty isn’t sufficient. However, the teachers are helpful and supportive.
NEIGRIHMS is not a very good option in your case.
I will try to answer this query as per my limited knowledge.
As for GMC, its teaching standards have declined. The classes aren’t as rich as in previous times. Even the study culture isn’t as good now. Only the brand name remains. Because of this, GSMC is currently much better ranked than GMC. So if you are from Lucknow, choose KGMU over GMC Mumbai. MBBS is quite stressful, and homely support does a lot for mental health.
Both GSMC and KGMU are good medical colleges. Choosing between these is a bit difficult. Research on the condition of PG reservation at Maharashtra colleges, and Provincial Health Services (PHS) rule in UP. This will help you make a better decision.
Both GSMC Mumbai and KGMU are excellent choices.Choose between the two based on various factors that I have listed above.
A close friend of mine studies at CMC Ludhiana and gave me insight into the actual scenario of academics there.
Overall, if your only goal is to study and become a good doctor, CMC Ludhiana is a decent choice for sure but if you also want a dynamic college life then I will suggest considering other options.
Sharda University is one of the global universities holding a prestigious ranking in the field of research & education. It has a medical wing attached to it known as School Of Medical Sciences & Research which has been recognized by the Medical Council Of India and provides premier courses in the field of medical science.
To ascertain the position of the MBBS program; certain details should be focused which are mentioned below:
Ranking
Admission
Infrastructure
Apart from basic information, there are some key features that will surely influence the decision of how exactly the course turns out in the long run. These are as follows:
Career Growth & Opportunities
MBBS is a course that requires learning by doing concept and Sharda University can be a good option as most of the students get to benefit from its high tech hospital set up to increase knowledge of its practitioners and dominant view of the market at the same time. Fees can turn out to be a deterrent but eventually, the course is worth its value & time.
No seats are reserved for ST candidates in AIQ and NEIGRIHMS Open for NE State and Sikkim permanent residents.
The AIQ cutoff goes high. As per trend, it stands at around 540-550+. The cutoff for the NEIGRIHMS Open stands at around 460-480+.
I am listing down the seats reserved for ST students with prc of these states-
I have given you a general idea as I don’t have the exact figures.
All of the mentioned colleges are government institutes. They are affiliated with the West Bengal University of Health Science (WBUHS) and approved by the Medical Council of India.
One of my friends is an alumnus of Midnapore Medical College & Hospital. As per him, all the three institutes are at par. Being government institutes, the best practical exposure to students is through internships. The interns have a tight schedule.
As an intern doctor, you will encounter a wide range of patients. Even the professors and RMOs are easily approachable. During your houseman-ship days, you get an opportunity to perform cesarean sections, hernioplasty, and cholecystectomy under the doctor’s supervision.
In the end, all will provide decent opportunities.
I have a few friends who attended NEIGRIHMS. Their time at the institute has been quite good. It is a central Govt. medical college. There is also a hospital near the campus. The institute offers decent academics with good patient flow and cases.
For an MBBS, NEIGRIHMS can be a decent option.
Here are some good tips for the final MBBS MUHS practical exams
Hope this helps you!
Here is the CMC Ludhiana NEET cutoff 2022 for a non-Punjab, non-christian UR category
|
Round 1 |
10840 |
|
Round 2 |
16113 |
|
Round 3 |
16113 |
So, the last rak at which CMC Ludhiana allotted an MBBS to non-Punjab non- Christian candidate belonging to the general category is 16113 .
CMC is a minority-based institution where the majority of seats are reserved. General Category Students in the Open quota, hardly are allotted 4 seats so the cutoff is very unpredictable and changes every year depending on the level of difficulty of the exam and other factors.
That said, it’s difficult to determine the minimum marks required to get admission to CMC Ludhiana without knowing your category and the year you will be attempting. The cutoff for the previous year for various categories are listed below:
|
General |
351 |
|
OBC |
572 |
|
SC |
547 |
To give a rough estimate, in a fairly easy paper, you need 600+ and in a difficult one, you might need 560+ that is if you want a general category seat (Open quota) in CMC for MBBS.
