BITS Pilani offers decent placement support to students from the M.Tech. and B.Tech. batches. The chances are higher for the one who has a master’s in Mechanical Engineering. BITS Pilani conducts the placement process in two semesters. During the first semester, about 15-20 companies, including Intel, Qualcomm, Broadcom, SanDisk, Nvidia, Cisco, and so on, visit the campus. I am an MD Dermatology Junior Resident at JIPMER. I can give you some details about my college.
During the first 6 months of your MD, your working hours will be from 7am to 9pm for most days. Working hours may change depending on the number of patients admitted. Your working hours will decrease for the next 6 months.
During the second year, you’ll work from 8am to 6pm. You’ll have to work for two hours extra in case of an admission under you. In the final year, you’ll work from 8am to 5pm. After that you’ll be relieved from the ward, only OP.

However, I would like to tell highlight a few things-
- Electronics and Electrical value your ability to remember random figures rather than polishing your technical knowledge.
- The syllabus and question paper for both these courses is below par at NIT Warangal. The syllabus for them is outdated.
- Placements are high at NITW, but software profiles are mostly offered.
- Most students start coding from their pre-final year because of low placement chances in the core companies of other disciplines.
- The college infrastructure and hostel facilities may disappoint you.
Government colleges other than IIT D, B, and K are lagging behind in reality.
They have subpar infrastructure and their administration is old and rigid. They offer no extra support and opportunities to their students. All of this combined with the rigorous academic schedule causes plenty of frustration.
Which is the better option; doing computer engineering at SVNIT-Surat, Gujarat or b.tech in ict at DA-IICT Gandhinagar, Gujarat?
I am a resident of Surat, and SVNIT is very close to my house. During my college admissions, I was in the same dilemma. So I spent about a week at both the colleges to make a more informed choice.
One of the professors at SVNIT suggested that I opt for B.Tech ICT at DAIICT over Computer Engineering at SVNIT. He told me that DAIICT is a better option for computer related branches. Here are some pros of joining DAIICT as a B.Tech ICT student-
- The placements at DAIICT are comparatively better.
- Though the NITs have an established brand name, the reputation of DAIICT is better than SVNIT in top companies like Amazon, Morgan Stanley, MAQ, etc.
- It has a greater number of GSoC qualifiers, and a better environment for Open Source Coding.
- The environment is superior for competitive coding as well, and students participate in great numbers in online programming contests on platforms like codeforces, etc.
- A large number of students prepare for exams like GRE, CAT, etc.
Thus, a B.Tech ICT at DAIICT is better in comparison to Computer Engineering at SVNIT.
How much it costs to do MBBS from AIIMS Bhopal, MAMC, UCMS, etc. including all the hostel and mess fees?
MAMC M.B.B.S. The Fee is INR 4,445/Yr. It offers various programs at low fees compared to other medical colleges. The hostel fee is around INR 500/- per month and the mess charges are around INR 2000–2500 per month.
If you belong to a financially weak background, then you can teach alongside your M.B.B.S. as the pay for tuition in Delhi is very good.
