Is NSIT a good college?

TA
Tithi Aggrawal Posted On : August 21st, 2023
Lives in New Delhi

If I ever had the chance to choose between NSUT and DTU, I would always NSUT Delhi. Here are a few reasons supporting my opinion

  • Placements : NSUT has some of the best placements in the country but the institute does not release the official data. From what I have heard, people get placed in top companies like Microsoft, Google, Adobe, Goldman Sachs, Royal Bank of Scotland, Samsung, Flipkart, Amazon, McKinsey & JPMC every year.
  • DU degree: The tag of DU cannot be underestimated at all. It certainly gives you a certain edge over other colleges and makes higher studies abroad a lot easier.
  • Crowd : NSIT (NSUT) has a very talented and diverse group of peers and you won’t find such a crowd in other engineering colleges. You will see a great bond between the juniors and seniors. The girl-to-boy ratio is much better compared to other engineering colleges too.
  • Location : NSIT is located in Dwarka so you have easy access to places via Metro/Car. The closest station is Dwarka Mor.

Overall, NSUT Delhi will offer a unique college life experience and force you to come out of your comfort zone and explore new things. You will be busy organizing fests and exploring your non-academic passions here. The institute will teach you to manage your time and inculcate problem-solving skills. When you will leave college after 4 years, you will be a new leaf!

What is your review of Jaipuria Institute of Management, Noida?

SA
Shweta Arora Posted On : March 7th, 2023
BSc in Bachelor of Science in Zoology & E-commerce Business, University of Delhi (Graduated 2016)

I know a friend who recently graduated from the Jaipuria Institute of Management. On the basis of her experience, I came to the conclusion that Jaipuria focuses on the holistic development of students. It does not lay emphasis on one single specialization and covers various angles of Management.

The curriculum of the courses offered is such that it bridges the gap between theory and practice. This helps the students to face real-life challenges better. The institute aims at preparing students for the real corporate world by stressing extracurricular activities and amazing exposure.

The overall ambiance is a lighthearted atmosphere with friendly faculty and peers. You can experience the best college life everyone dreams of. It is a privilege to be a part of this institute.

Doing MS from BITS Pilani with wipro is good or bad?

SD
Shruti Dasgupta Posted On : June 28th, 2023
Student at Birla Institute of Technology and Science, Pilani

Well, it depends on your goals and priorities. BITS Pilani MS is a great option if you just want to improve your profile and maintain a good status in society. But if you are taking this program to uplift your career then you will be regretting it big.

My uncle who works for an MNC often is entrusted with the job of hiring freshers from well-Reuter colleges and claims that MS students aren’t given any special attention unless they are from IIT or NIT.

The MS program offered by WIPRO is a scheme to mislead employees to believe that a useless degree is better than anything. They will use this degree as a lash on you to ensure you stay committed to the company and work at a discounted rate. It's better to not fall for such schemes and look at the bigger picture. Your salary will never increase if you stick to these companies.

So, if you are looking for some certifications, then go for some niche skills that are more valuable than a BITS Masters Degree.

How is CMR University?

KS
Khusi Sengupta Posted On : May 7th, 2021
Studied BBA at Mithibai College

CMR University does not have good reviews. I have a few friends at the institute and the institute has not lived up to their expectations.

  • The whole college gives you lazy vibes and the faculty members are mostly not available. Instead of taking classes, they will ask you to write essays on random topics just for the sake of attendance.
  • The infrastructure is also not up-to-date. You won’t find the books you need at the library.
  • There are no extracurricular activities, fests, or any events. My friend changed institute after 6 months, once he got to know the institute keeps the original documents for the entire period of the degree.

My friend wanted to pursue a triple major in Psychology, Literature, and Journalism. He was told it is a good option by the counselor and placement officer. But just within a week, he was informed that Journalism is just a side subject.

Here’s a statistical insight of the institute.

Highest CTC

18 LPA

Major Recruiters

State Street, Urban Ladder, EY, Amazon, HP, TCS, etc.

Fee Range

75,000-2.25 lakhs

Comparably it is better to pursue a degree from Mumbai University, the quality of education there will be similar to that of CMR University but the course fee is a lot less. It will be better if you reach out to the alumni and the current students of the university to know the real scenario and make a decision based on that.

Is AIIMS Rishikesh too strict and disciplined for students?

Muskan Shafi Posted On : April 2nd, 2024

There is a certain level of strictness and discipline in medical colleges. A medical student needs to be dedicated and disciplined to ace academics. Hence, medical colleges do maintain strict rules and regulations to train students to become better doctors in future.

It is a misconception that AIIMS Rishikesh is too strict and disciplined for students. In comparison, with other medical colleges such as MAMC, AFMC Pune and other AIIMS, AIIMS Rishikesh is less strict. However, the institution is very disciplined concerning attendance, assignment submissions and behaviour of students on campus. Some professors do not allow latecomers as a way of teaching students the importance of discipline. Sometimes, students might experience academic pressure and the campus environment at AIIMS Rishikesh will help students experience peace and serenity.

In case of any injustice, students can reach out to the study body welfare association at AIIMS Rishikesh which is dedicated to helping students.

What is the difference between doing an MBBS in AIIMS, Delhi and doing an MBBS in any other local medical college?

PA
Puneet Aarya Posted On : May 30th, 2023
MBBS from All India Institute of Medical Sciences

AIIMS is rightfully called the Harvard of the East owing to its excellence in the field of Medical education. AIIMS has a lot to offer and not every AIIMS student makes the most out of the plethora of opportunities offered. It depends on the individual and his goals.

Here are a few aspects that make AIIMS stand out amongst other medical institutes.

  • The supreme quality peer pool gives way to meaningful discussions with everyone motivating each other to grow.
  • The faculty pool is equally qualified and diverse, comprising authors of international books, leaders in research in their fields, advisors to international committees, etc
  • The overall mindset of the institute is towards striving for excellence. You are left with no option but to do your extreme best and succeed.
  • The patient inflow is also quite diverse at AIIMS and apart from textbook cases, you come across rare diseases too.
  • AIIMS has an annual grant of ?1200 crore. This means better infrastructure and excellent research opportunities for the students.
  • The approachable and experienced faculty combined with good funding aid in research opportunities right from the 1st year
  • Many AIIMS alumni work at top international universities. This is beneficial for research electives and USMLE prospects.
  • AIIMS easily fulfills the required student-faculty ratio guidelines.

With so much to offer, AIIMS is definitely worth it. Remember that it’s the hard work that counts more than anything. Many top colleges give birth to average doctors and vice versa.
