XLRI Delhi Organised Its 2nd Convocation Ceremony; Awarded 107 Students with PGDBM Degrees

The Xavier School of Management (XLRI), Delhi NCR Hosted its second convocation ceremony for its PGDM (BM) batch, where 107 Degrees were awarded to the students.

New Delhi: The Xavier School of Management (XLRI), Delhi NCR organized its second convocation ceremony for its PGDM (BM) batch on Saturday, April 29, 2023.

The Gold awards for overall academic achievement, for female students, and for all-arounder were awarded to Mr. Yudhvier Malik, Ms. Aarha Shah, and Mr. Rishikesh Promod Nair, respectively, under the sponsorship of Maruti Suzuki India Limited.

By lighting the lamp, Fr. George Sebastian, Vice Chairman of XLRI Delhi, begins the convocation ceremony. Fr. K. S. Casimir, Director of XLRI Delhi-NCR, then gave a presentation of the annual report and emphasised the accomplishments of the students by congratulating them on achieving a placement rate of 100%. He emphasised that this accomplishment helped our institute to maintain its ranking as one of the top ten placement-oriented institutes in the nation.

Fr. S. George appreciated the graduating students on their achievements and urged them to remain climbers throughout their professional careers rather than choosing the more convenient positions of campers and quitters. After that he presented the Fr. E. Abraham Medal for Industrial and Management Development, to our chief guest of the day: Dr Pushp Kumar Joshi, Chairman, HPCL, during the occasion.

Addressing the students, Chief Guest Dr. Joshi remarked, "Just having IQ and EQ Is not sufficient, they also need to have SQ (spiritual quotient)". According to him, corporate life is merely a part of life; life itself is far greater and includes both. A healthy work-life balance is crucial.

Dr. Joshi congratulated the students on receiving their degrees successfully and emphasised the value of utilising the time they had to the fullest. He also emphasised to them the value of lifelong learning in their professional lives. 

On this significant day for our graduating students, we also had the honour of hosting Mr. Sameer Chadha, the CEO of KPMG. Fr. K.S. Casimir, the director of XLRI Delhi NCR, presented him with a gift. He inspired the students to keep aiming for equal professional advancement.

All medal winners and individuals who garnered honours for the institute in different events were congratulated. Our Associate Dean (Academics), Dr. Rajeev Roy, gave the convocation pledge to the 107 graduating students. 

The celebration came to an end with the singing of the National Anthem and the return of the academic procession.
