Karnataka PGCET 2026 Round 1 Fee Deadline Extended to Oct 9

The Karnataka Examinations Authority (KEA) has extended the Karnataka Post Graduate Common Entrance Test (PGCET) 2026 Round 1 fee payment and college reporting deadlines. The revised schedule was issued on the official KEA portal at cetonline.karnataka.gov.in on October 6, 2026. Candidates can now complete the admission fee payment and report to allotted colleges by October 9, 2026.

The extension applies to all programmes covered under Round 1 counselling. These include Master of Business Administration (MBA), Master of Computer Applications (MCA), Master of Engineering (ME), Master of Technology (M.Tech), and Master of Architecture (M.Arch). The relief is for candidates who were allotted seats in the first round and selected Choice 1 or Choice 2.

Earlier, the fee payment window was set to close on October 3, 2026. The reporting deadline for Choice 1 candidates was October 5, 2026. KEA revised these dates after multiple candidate representations citing banking delays and document verification pendencies.

Who Is Covered Under the Extension?

The extended deadline covers every candidate who received a Round 1 seat allotment. This includes those who have exercised Choice 1 and Choice 2 options. Choice 1 candidates must pay the fee and report to the allotted college. Choice 2 candidates must pay the fee to retain the seat while awaiting Round 2 upgradation.

Candidates who selected Choice 3 or Choice 4 are not required to pay the fee. Choice 3 allows participation in the next round without retaining the current seat. Choice 4 means complete withdrawal from the counselling process.

How to Pay the Admission Fee and Confirm the Seat?

KEA has retained the same payment and reporting process. Only the deadline has been pushed forward. Candidates must follow these steps carefully to secure the allotted seat.

  • Visit the official KEA portal at cetonline.karnataka.gov.in.
  • Log in using the PGCET 2026 application number and password.
  • Download the generated e-challan for the admission fee.
  • Pay the prescribed fee at the designated bank branch during banking hours.
  • Return to the portal and download the Seat Confirmation Slip.
  • Carry the slip and original documents to the allotted college for reporting.

Documents Required at the College for Reporting

Candidates must carry a complete set of original documents while reporting. Missing documents can lead to admission denial even after fee payment.

Why This Matters

  2. Generate the e-challan and keep the fee amount ready in advance.
