UP NEET PG Round 2 Counselling 2025

The Directorate of Medical Education and Training (DMET), Uttar Pradesh, will organise the UP NEET PG Counselling 2025 in online mode. Students who have qualified for the NEET PG 2025 exam and wish to take admission in MD, MS, Diploma, or DNB courses under the 50% State Quota seats in Uttar Pradesh will need to register for the counselling process.

The first round of counselling, conducted in August 2025, has been completed. The second round of UP NEET PG Counselling 2025 is expected to begin shortly. The Round 2 seat allotment result was declared on September 24, 2025.

Candidates who have been allotted a seat can download their allotment letter starting September 25, 2025. They must report to their allotted college to complete the admission process on September 25–27, September 29–30, and October 3, 2025.

The second round of UP NEET PG Counselling 2025 is expected to begin shortly. After Round 2, a mop-up round will be conducted to fill any remaining vacant seats in government and private medical colleges of Uttar Pradesh.

Debarment of 148 Candidates in UP NEET PG 2025

DGME, Uttar Pradesh, has also announced that 148 candidates have been debarred from further rounds of counselling. These candidates had withdrawn from their previously allotted seats in Round 1, and as a result, they are barred from participating in the upcoming rounds of counselling.

Supreme Court Case on NEET PG 2025

Another major update at the national level is that a petition on transparency in the NEET PG 2025 exam and counselling is currently being heard in the Supreme Court of India. Students have raised concerns regarding the answer key, question paper, and evaluation process. Several candidates reported discrepancies in their scores, with variations ranging from 50 to 150 marks.

The petitioners are demanding that the complete question paper and official answer key be released to ensure fairness and clarity. The Supreme Court is scheduled to hear this case on 26 September 2025, and depending on the verdict, the UP NEET PG Counselling 2025 process may change.
