Tamil Nadu NEET Counselling Criteria for 2024 Admissions

The Directorate of Medical Education (DME), Tamil Nadu, is in charge of conducting the Tamil Nadu NEET MBBS/BDS counselling for 85% state quota seats and 100% seats in private colleges. Admission to the 15% All India Quota (AIQ) seats will be managed through NEET counselling by the Medical Counselling Committee (MCC).   • Seats under 15% AIQ: NEET counselling conducted by MCC.
  • Seats in central/deemed universities: MCC conducts counselling.
  • Seats under 85% state quota: Counselling by DME, Tamil Nadu.
  • Seats in private colleges: Managed by DME, Tamil Nadu.

Students who meet the NEET cut-off and successfully complete the online application will be included in the Tamil Nadu MBBS merit list 2024 for the counselling process.

Tamil Nadu NEET Counselling Procss 2024

  1. Counselling Fee Payment: Candidates are required to pay a counselling fee of Rs. 500 for government colleges and Rs. 1000 for self-financing colleges. This payment should be made via demand draft in favor of "The Secretary, Selection Committee, Kilpauk, Chennai-10".

  2. Downloading the Call Letter: Candidates can download the counselling call letter from the official link, which will be provided. To access the letter, they must enter their application number and date of birth (DOB). The call letter will specify the date and time for the Tamil Nadu MBBS 2024 counselling session.

  3. Counselling Venue: On the day of counselling, candidates should report to the assigned venue as per the schedule mentioned in the call letter. It is important to bring all the required documents for verification.

  4. Course and College Preferences: During the counselling session, candidates will be asked to submit their choices of courses and colleges. There is no limit on the number of choices a candidate can submit, so they are encouraged to list all preferred options.
