SLIET SET 2026 Counselling Schedule Released; Exam May 9

Sant Longowal Institute of Engineering and Technology (SLIET) has officially released the comprehensive counselling schedule for SET 2026 admissions across multiple programs. The entrance examination will be conducted on May 9, 2026 (Saturday) in online mode for various programs including ICD, B.E. (Lateral Entry), Integrated M.Tech., M.Sc., M.Tech., and MBA. Results will be declared on May 18, 2026, followed by choice filling and multiple rounds of seat allotment and counselling.

The SET 2026 admission process involves multiple rounds of counselling to ensure fair allocation of seats to qualified candidates. Candidates must pay a token amount of INR 5,000 as seat acceptance fee, which is adjustable towards the institute fee. This fee will be forfeited if the seat is allotted but not accepted by the candidate, and reimbursed if the seat is not allotted.

SLIET SET 2026 Counselling Schedule - ICD Programme

SLIET SET 2026 Counselling Schedule - B.E. (Lateral Entry)

The B.E. (Lateral Entry) and Integrated M.Tech. (Lateral Entry) programs follow a similar counselling schedule with seat allotment starting from June 25, 2026. Choice filling for Group A and C candidates is scheduled from May 19-29, 2026. Multiple rounds of seat allotment will be conducted with fee payment deadlines for each round to ensure timely admission processing.

Important Instructions for Candidates

Candidates who have been allotted seats must pay the requisite fee within the stipulated period specified in the schedule, otherwise their allotted seats will stand cancelled. It is mandatory for qualified candidates to fill the choices of branches for ICD, B.E. (Lateral Entry Group A & C), and Integrated M.Tech. (Group A) programs. Online payment confirmation will be reflected in the candidate's login account, and the institute shall not be responsible for failed or unsuccessful transactions.

Integrated B.Sc.-M.Sc. and M.Sc./M.Tech. Programs

Integrated B.Sc.-M.Sc. program admissions are based on JEE (Main), PUCET (UG), CUCET (UG), NEET, or SET-II scores. Seat allotment for this program is scheduled for August 2, 2026, with a spot round on August 13, 2026 for vacant seats. M.Sc. and M.Tech. programs (based on JAM, PUCET, CUCET, GATE, or SET scores) will have seat allotment on August 7, 2026, with classes commencing on August 18, 2026.

Ph.D. and MBA Admissions

Ph.D. admissions at SLIET follow a separate schedule with registration from February 10 to August 5, 2026, and examination on August 6, 2026. MBA program admissions are based on CAT, CMAT, GATE, or SET-IV scores, with group discussion and interview dates to be notified separately. All candidates must ensure they have necessary documents ready for verification during the specified dates to avoid any delays in the admission process.
