New Delhi: Symbiosis Institute of Business Management (SIBM) Pune began an innovative journey to foster entrepreneurship within its MBA (Innovation & Entrepreneurship) program. A remarkable introduction is a unique "12 Week-Live Project" during the initial semester, which will revolutionize the approach to incubating and launching startups.

This pioneering initiative at SIBM Pune commenced with the formation of 21 student-led groups during the program's inaugural week. Surprisingly, within just four weeks, 17 of these groups had already begun the process of transforming their concepts into tangible revenue streams.

The groundbreaking progress continued, and by the end of the sixth week, the cumulative earnings generated by these 21 startups had reached an unprecedented INR 16 Lakh.

Every Wednesday, student groups go on their weekly market visits, to actively engage with clients and vendors. To facilitate these valuable interactions, the college offers convenient bus transportation for easy commuting. The initiatives undertaken by these 21 groups span a wide array of sectors, including Digital Services, Healthcare, Clothing, Event Management, Retail, E-Commerce, and more.

A critical aspect of this endeavor lies in the guidance extended by 11 esteemed mentors from diverse industries. These mentors accompany the students during their fieldwork, providing invaluable insights and assessments on a weekly basis. The close-knit relationship between mentors and students ensures that each startup receives the necessary support to establish a viable and sustainable business model.

Upon the conclusion of the 12-week timeframe, the startups will deliver comprehensive business plans and financial statements to panels of mentors. This final presentation displays the practical exposure and knowledge acquired by the budding entrepreneurs throughout the project.
