NTA has released the Re-NEET UG 2026 city intimation slip on neet.nta.nic.in. The re-examination will be held on June 21 in pen and paper mode from 2 pm to 5 pm across 551 cities. Admit cards arrive next.

The National Testing Agency (NTA) has released the Re-NEET 2026 city slip. The intimation slip is now live at neet.nta.nic.in. Candidates can use it to check their allotted exam city. The slip went online on Sunday, June 7, 2026. It is the first official update since the re-test was announced.
The slip is for the Re-NEET UG 2026 re-examination on June 21. The exam stands for National Eligibility cum Entrance Test Undergraduate (NEET UG). It is the gateway to MBBS, BDS, and AYUSH seats. The test decides admission to thousands of medical seats every year.
NTA has clarified that the city slip is not the admit card. It only tells students which city their exam centre is in. The official admit card will be released separately by NTA. Candidates must download both documents from the official portal only.

What Does the City Intimation Slip Show?
The slip shows only the city of your allotted exam centre. It does not list the exact centre name or address. That detail will come later on the admit card.
The slip also carries your name, application number, and photo. Candidates should verify these details once they download the PDF. Any mismatch must be reported to NTA at the earliest.

What Should Candidates Carry on Exam Day?
Students must reach the centre with a printed admit card. They should also bring a valid government photo ID proof. NTA has confirmed that entry without a hall ticket is not allowed.
The city slip alone will not work at the exam gate. NTA advises taking a colour printout on A4 paper. Keep two or three backup copies as a safety measure.
How to Reach Your Exam Centre on Time?
Candidates should plan travel based on the city shown in the slip. Those allotted distant cities must book transport early. Hotels near exam centres may fill up close to the date.
NTA usually asks candidates to report well before the test. Late entry is not allowed once the gates close. It is safer to reach the centre at least two hours early.
Why Was the Re-Exam Ordered?
The original NEET UG 2026 was held on May 3, 2026. NTA cancelled the test on May 12 amid paper leak allegations. The agency has since worked to reconduct the exam without delay.
The re-test will use the same syllabus as the original exam. The pattern, duration, and marking scheme also stay the same. Candidates do not need to apply again to appear for the re-test.
This is one of India's largest entrance re-tests ever. NTA is reconducting the test on a massive scale. The move is meant to protect fairness in medical admissions.
Action Plan for Candidates
