New Delhi: As per the recent update from Panjab University, the PUCET UG 2023 counseling and reporting schedule has been revised. Candidates shortlisted in the first round were able to report from July 17 to July 19, 2023, whereas the second seat allotment list was released on July 21, 2023. Now, the candidates who got selected in the second allotment will be able to report from July 24 to 26, 2023. 

Panjab University will release the third round of seat allotment on July 28, 2023. Candidates whose names are featured on the third seat allotment list will have to report against the 3rd seat allotment from August 1 to 3, 2023. 

The Panjab University Common Entrance Test (PUCET) is conducted by the university for admission to its UG and PG programs in Engineering, Commerce, Management, Arts, Law, and Information Technology.

PUCET 2023 Counselling Process

After publishing the PU CET UG 2023 Merit List based on the exam scores, the university initiated the PUCET 2023 counselling process, which includes multiple steps such as admission form filling, preference selection, seat allotment, and reporting at the allotted college. 

  1. Admission Form Filling and Course Preference

Following the result declaration, candidates must fill the admission form online. The form will include choices of courses/departments, which candidates need to fill along with their preferences and submit it to the university before the deadline. 

The counselling fee can be paid through online or offline mode. Candidates are advised to lock their preferences before the final submission. 

  1. Merit List and Seat Allotment Process

With the submission of the admission form, the university will publish a merit list based on the candidates' performance in the qualifying exam, entrance test, and other provided details. 

Candidates will have the chance to raise objections regarding the merit list. After resolving the objections, the final merit list, along with seat allotment details, will be released.

During counselling, candidates must select and submit their preferred courses and colleges. The seat allotment result will be announced online on the website. For vacant or remaining seats, offline counselling will be arranged.

Candidates who are allotted a seat will have to report to the respective college for further procedures. All candidates must bring their scorecard, result, and essential documents to the counselling session.

  1. Reporting at Allotted Department:

After seat allotment, candidates must report to the designated department of the university within the specified timeframe. They should bring all the necessary documents and fees to complete the admission process. Failure to report within the given period may result in the cancellation of their admission.
