NIFTEE Registration 2026 Begins @nift.ac.in; Apply By January 6

The National Testing Agency (NTA) has officially released the NIFT 2026 application form on December 08, 2025. All eligible candidates seeking admission to B.Des, M.Des, and B.F.Tech, M.F.Tech, and M.F.M. programs, as well as PhD programs, can now apply through the NIFT admission portal.

The last date to submit the online application form is January 06, 2026. Candidates are advised to complete the form early to avoid last-minute issues.

The application fee for General/OBC (Non-Creamy Layer)/GEN-EWS is ₹2,000, and for SC/ST/PwD is ₹500.

The NIFT 2026 entrance examination will be held on February 08, 2026 and will include two tests: the Creative Ability Test (CAT) and the General Ability Test (GAT).

NIFTEE 2026 Eligibility Criteria

The eligibility criteria depend on the course applied for:

For B.Des & B.F.Tech, the candidate must have passed Class 12 from a recognised board.

For M.Des, M.F.Tech & M.F.M, the candidate must have a Bachelor’s degree from a recognised university. No upper age limit for postgraduate programmes. Candidates must also ensure they meet any additional criteria mentioned in the official NIFT notice.

NIFTEE 2026 Selection Process

The selection for NIFT 2026 will be done in multiple stages:

1. Written Examination, CAT and GAT

2. Situation Test / Studio Test

3. Personal Interview for PG programmes

The final merit list will be prepared based on the overall performance in all applicable rounds.

NIFTEE 2026-How to Apply?

NTA has made the entire application process online. Candidates must follow the steps below:

1. Register Online

Visit the official NIFT admission portal.

Enter Aadhaar number, name, email ID, and mobile number.

After successful registration, an applicant account will be created.

2. Fill the Application Form

Log in using the registered credentials.

Enter personal, academic, and communication details.

Select the preferred NIFT exam centre.

3. Upload Required Documents

Upload scanned copies of the photograph and signature in the prescribed format.

4. Pay the Application Fee

Make the payment online to complete the application process.

Applicants must download and save the confirmation page for future reference.
