New Delhi: The electronics and communication engineering department at Manipal Institute of Technology (MIT) has introduced the BTech in Electronics Engineering (VLSI design and technology) Programme in partnership with a semi conductor laboratory.
The BTech Electronics Engineering (VLSI Design and Technology) programme will cover a wide range of topics including analog and mixed-signal circuits, digital electronics, VLSI design, testing, and more.
In addition, the engineering course will offer instruction to use lab-based industry-standard EDA tools, specialised semiconductor device and process simulation tools for understanding device fabrication and process flow, sponsored projects, internships, and research opportunities in the final semester. As a part of India's Semiconductor Mission, this remarkable curriculum is carefully designed.
According to a statement from MIT, to promote the development and scaling up of a semiconductor ecosystem as well as to close the skills gap in all facets of the sector.
Cdr. Anil Rana, director of MIT Manipal, commented on the introduction of the BTech programme, "The BTech in Electronics Engineering (VLSI Design and Technology) programme is designed to give students the theoretical and practical skills necessary to excel in the quick-paced and constantly-evolving in the field of electronics.
Students will benefit from this program by gaining knowledge and practical experience with cutting-edge technology that enable them to succeed in their future employment."
"Graduates of this curriculum can look forward towards a bright future with plenty of opportunities at famous firms. For example, the semiconductor industry is predicted to need 20,000 skilled experts by 2025, and our programme strives to fill this gap by providing students the skills they need to engage in this booming sector. By enrolling in this programme, students can take the initial step towards a fulfilling career in electronics engineering,” Rana continued.
