The State Common Entrance Test Cell, Maharashtra, has commenced the online registration process for the MHT CET 2026 academic year. As of January 5, 2026, the registration portal is live for postgraduate physical education and education courses. While the portal is open, the CET Cell has currently activated the application links specifically for M.P.Ed and MAH M.Ed programs. Aspirants for Engineering (PCM) and Pharmacy (PCB) undergraduate courses can register on the portal now, with their specific exam form links expected to be activated shortly.
The Maharashtra CET Cell conducts entrance exams for a wide range of professional courses. The current registration phase covers:
- Postgraduate (PG) Courses: Master of Physical Education (M.P.Ed) and Master of Education (M.Ed).
- Undergraduate (UG) Courses: B.E./B.Tech, B.Pharmacy, B.Planning, and Pharm.D (Registration started, form filling for these specific groups is coming soon).
To complete the MHT CET 2026 registration, candidates are required to pay the application fee through the online portal. MHT CET 2026 Eligibility Criteria
To be eligible for MHT CET 2026, candidates must meet the following:
- For M.P.Ed: Candidates should have a Bachelor’s Degree in Physical Education (B.P.Ed.) or equivalent with at least 50% marks (45% for reserved categories and PwD candidates belonging to Maharashtra State).
- For M.Ed: Candidates must have completed B.Ed., B.A.-B.Ed./B.Sc.-B.Ed. (Integrated), or B.El.Ed. with the required minimum percentage.
- Mandatory Requirement: It is now compulsory for all candidates to have an APAAR ID and a valid Aadhaar Card for registration.
MHT CET 2026 Selection Process
- Entrance Test: Candidates must appear for the online Computer-Based Test (CBT).
- Field Test: For M.P.Ed candidates, an offline field test is mandatory.
- Merit List: A merit list will be prepared based on the CET scores (and field test for M.P.Ed).
- Counselling (CAP): Successful candidates will participate in the Centralized Admission Process (CAP) for seat allotment.

- Click on the link for "CET Portal for A.Y. 2026-27".
- Select "New Registration" and enter personal details (Name, Email, Mobile Number).
- Generate an APAAR ID via DigiLocker if not already created.
- Upload a scanned photograph (size between 100 KB to 5 MB) and signature.
- Pay the application fee online and submit the form.
