J&K NEET UG Counseling 2024: JKBOPEE Releases Tentative Seat Matrix for Special Stray Round

The Jammu and Kashmir Board of Professional Entrance Examinations (JKBOPEE) has published the Tentative Seat Matrix for NEET-UG 2024 for the Special Stray Round of Physical Counseling for BDS, DDH and DDM courses scheduled to take place on 28th November 2024.

Key Details of the Counseling Process

1. Courses and Institutions:

   The seat matrix includes courses for:

   • BDS (Bachelor of Dental Surgery) at Government Dental Colleges in Srinagar and Jammu.
   • DDH (Diploma in Dental Hygienist) and DDM (Diploma in Dental Mechanic) at both Government and Indira Gandhi Dental Colleges in the UT.

2. Number of Seats Available:
   • BDS Seats: Only 2 seats are available under this course in Government Dental College, Srinagar.
   • DDH Seats: A total of 24 seats are available (20 at Indira Gandhi Dental College, Jammu, and 4 at Government Dental College, Srinagar).
   • DDM Seats: 18 seats are open (14 at Indira Gandhi Dental College, Jammu, and 4 at Government Dental College, Srinagar).
3. Category-Wise Distribution:
   • Seats are categorized under various quotas including OM (Open Merit), EWS (Economically Weaker Sections), SC, ST, OBC, ALC/IB, and RBA. The open merit candidates dominate the seat allocation.
4. Gender and Domicile Allocation:
   • The seat matrix indicates allocations for male and female candidates and distinguishes seats based on domicile (J&K and Ladakh regions).

Important Instructions for Candidates

• Eligibility: Only candidates qualified under NEET-UG and eligible as per JKBOPEE norms can participate.
• Counseling Fee: Aspirants need to deposit a counseling fee of INR 2000 at the time of submission of the application.
