Jharkhand Combined Entrance Competitive Examination Board (JCECEB) has opened registration for Polytechnic Entrance Competitive Examination (PECE) 2026 from May 19, 2026. Candidates must complete their applications by June 17, 2026.

JCECEB has launched online registration for PECE 2026. Eligible candidates can apply at polycet.jceceb.org.in until June 17, 2026. The written examination will be conducted on July 5, 2026, from 10:30 AM to 1:00 PM.
Students who have passed Class 10 or equivalent examination are eligible. Jharkhand PECE 2026 is the gateway to diploma engineering courses across Jharkhand polytechnic colleges. This competitive exam determines admission to various engineering disciplines.
General category candidates must pay Rs. 650 as application fee. SC, ST, and female candidates pay Rs. 325. Payment can be made online through credit card, debit card, or internet banking. Fee payment is mandatory for all candidates except PwD candidates.

Candidates must have passed Class 10 or equivalent examination from a recognized board. There is no age restriction for general disciplines. However, for mining discipline, minimum age as on July 1, 2026, must be 17 years.
How to Register for Jharkhand PECE 2026?
Candidates must visit the official website polycet.jceceb.org.in to begin registration.
Click on "New Registration" and enter basic details including name, email ID, and mobile number.
You will receive a registration number via SMS and email confirmation.
After registration, log in using your credentials to fill the application form. Enter personal details, educational qualifications, and select your preferred exam centers. Upload scanned copies of photograph, signature, and left-hand thumb impression in specified formats.
PECE 2026 will be conducted in eight cities across Jharkhand. Candidates can select two preferred exam centers while filling the application form. Available centers include Ranchi, Hazaribagh, Jamshedpur, Dhanbad, Dumka, Chaibasa, Bokaro, and Daltonganj.

Jharkhand PECE 2026 Exam Format and What to Expect
Jharkhand PECE 2026 will be conducted as an offline, multiple-choice question (MCQ) based examination. The exam duration is 2.5 hours. Questions will be based on Class 10 syllabus covering physics, chemistry, mathematics, and biology.
Arrive at the exam center at least 30 minutes before the scheduled time. Carry your admit card and valid ID proof. Do not share your login credentials with anyone. Maintain privacy of your registration details throughout the process.
What’s Next for Students
Results will be declared on the official website after the examination. Candidates can download their score cards using their application number and date of birth. Merit list will be prepared based on scores for counselling process.
After result declaration, counselling will begin for seat allocation. Candidates must participate in counselling to secure admission. Participating colleges will conduct their individual counselling based on PECE 2026 score cards provided by JCECEB.
