The Directorate of Medical Education (DME), Assam has released the NEET UG 2026 Round 1 seat allotment result. The provisional selection list is available at dme.assam.gov.in. Selected candidates must report to their allotted colleges on September 4 and 5, 2026.
The list covers admissions to MBBS and BDS courses in government medical and dental colleges of Assam. It applies to seats under the Assam State Quota. The provisional selection document runs across 192 pages.
Each entry carries the candidate's NEET UG 2026 rank, score, and state rank. It also lists the category and the allotted college. Candidates must download the allotment letter before reporting.

Documents Required for Reporting
Candidates must carry all original documents to the allotted college. Missing any document may lead to cancellation of the allotted seat.
- HSLC (Class 10) admit card, mark sheet, and pass certificate
- HSSLC (Class 12) admit card, mark sheet, and pass certificate
- NEET UG 2026 admit card and scorecard
- Provisional allotment letter downloaded from the DME portal
- Caste certificate for reserved category candidates
- Recent passport-size photographs
- Valid photo identity proof such as Aadhaar card
- Other documents listed in the MBBS and BDS admission rules
How to Report at the Allotted College?
Selected candidates must reach the Office of the Principal of their allotted government medical or dental college. They must report between September 4 and September 5, 2026.
Candidates should first download the seat allotment letter from the DME portal. The college will then verify all original documents at the reporting counter. The admission is confirmed only after successful document verification.
Students should keep the admission and counselling fee ready as per the official notice. Candidates who fail to report within the window will lose the allotted seat.
Who Must Report for PwD Verification?
Candidates seeking admission under the Persons with Disability (PwD) quota need a separate check. Their verification will happen on September 3 and 4, 2026, from 10:00 AM. The venue is Gauhati Medical College and Hospital.
Missing the September 4 and 5 reporting window means losing the allotted seat. The candidate will then have to wait for the Round 2 counselling. Original certificates and the correct fee are non-negotiable at the counter.
