This decision follows multiple representations regarding the clash with Easter Sunday. While the overall exam window remains active, the National Testing Agency (NTA) is providing alternate dates for those affected.

The Union Minister of State, Suresh Gopi, confirmed that the Education Ministry has responded positively to student concerns. Candidates who were unable to appear on April 5 were required to submit their rescheduling requests by March 28, 2026.

It is important to note that the entire JEE Main 2026 Session 2 exam is not postponed. The NTA will continue to conduct exams for other students on their original dates. However, those who submitted a request will find their new exam date, shift timing, and center updated on their revised admit card. Candidates are strictly advised to carry only the new admit card to the exam hall, as the old version showing April 5 will no longer be valid for rescheduled students.
